And as I post this, I see I did not change much from some others….hmmm, how about:

I believe that these will be the starter’s to begin the season, but may not be the starter’s in January.

Poindexter
Burford
Kasubke
Lewis
Foster

Off the bench:
Banks/Kinziger
Davis
Pence
Lieb
Walker

I wonder if we start the season with something like this, going kinda smallish.

Banks
Burford
Poindexter
Lewis
Lieb

I think all of our guesses are predicated on thinking Banks comes in as the point guard. If that doesn't happen, that changes a lot of where other guys fit.

That line up would t surprise me at all. If they don’t start we will definitely see that lineup anyway

Is a team that has Burford and Foster not in the top five a top four team in the Valley?
Who knows? All I know is Chase is in a boot or maybe just got free from it. I’ve been hearing for a mi Ute he’s the best big. It still all come down to this team being a deeper bunch of kids that will allow faster play when need be. Starters don’t really matter it’s the finishers in crunchtime.

Burford started 28 of 31 games played last year, and was the leading scorer and assist man.
Lewis started 29 of 32 games played, and was the leading rebounder and swiss army knife.

It's hard for me to imagine anyone has come in that is likely to knock those two from their starting spots.

Poindexter started 25 of 31 games last year, but prolly most would agree he started because we needed a point guard and he fit the bill the best.

Seems like Banks was brought in to specifically be the starting PG. I could be totally wrong on that, but that's how I'm reading it.

We truly were hurting for bigs last year, and now we have at least a couple with good potential not to mention young Walker.

I think match-ups matter to Pedon, so its possible there'll be some changes depending on the opponents.

I'm gonna say:
Burford, Lewis, Banks, Foster, Leib.

Davis or Kasubke comes in for Foster or Leib, a smaller defensive team, with one of the bigs staying in for a while, then rotating out for the other. Sissoko a spot player on the front line. Poindexter comes in for Burford or Banks. Would be gravy for Walker, Kinziger or Pence to break into the rotation. Hopefully it happens.

This seems like it could be similar to Zion Williamson's challenges with his foot. Many medical experts have said that Zion's size at 6'6" 284lbs and the corresponding force and weight landing and impacting the ground is a major contributing factor to his injuries. In comparison, Chase is listed at 6'9" 290lbs and while we haven't seen the verticality of Chase on highlight reels yet, he does have explosive and great lateral movement which undoubtedly generates force and impact on his feet. So this could be a challenge he'll deal with throughout his career.

I really like Chase, he's one of my favorite players from a personality and attributes perspective that I've seen at ISU in a long time and hope he stays health and we're fortunate enough to keep him around at ISU and healthy for a long time.

Hi, all. I interviewed Ryan Pedon yesterday on my D3 hoops-related podcast. Thought you might enjoy.

Bob Quillman

Great interview. I watched the Pedon Interview and the Interview with Ron Rose and both were fantastic. Looking forward to Sunday.
