I'm surprised to see Burford on the all-MVC team. I know there is reason to be excited about him - he was one of my favorite players last year - but I don't even know if he will start. It sounds likely that Banks has been given the keys at PG. I imagine Poindexter, Burford and Kasubke will be fighting for that starting SG spot.
Both Burford and Poindexter should benefit playing off the ball and the addition of PGs. While I can see Kasubke getting minutes at SG, I see Luke more at the wing spot with Pence and Jordan Davis.

PG - Banks, Kinziger with Poindexter as an option
SG - Burford, Poindexter with Kasubke as an option
Wing or 3 - Pence, Kasubke, Davis and Sissoko as an option
4 - Lewis, Lieb, Sissoko, and Foster as an option when Walker or Schmitt are playing
5- Foster, Walker, and Schmitt

The increased depth jumps out at you right away and there should be plenty of competition this year

Yeah, but leading scorer and leading assist man returning. Thought it said top15 in MVC scoring. So, you know, he's someone to contend with when you face the Birds.

I can't even guess what the starting lineup or minute distribution would be. Will be interesting to see which freshman gets the most minutes.

I think anywhere from 4-8 seems right and think there will be a battle in the conference for that fourth spot. I think if the injury bug stays away we could have a shot at finishing 3rd. The work these guys have put in and the improved talent in the roster is huge. Time will tell. Anyone else check out tickets down in Kentucky? Wow pricey compared to Wisconsin.
I started looking yesterday because they were supposed to go on sale at 5 pm ET. Doesn't look like any were released though. The only ones on ticketmaster are through resale and pretty expensive. Anyone have any tips or experience getting tickets at UK?

Home Games:

Per their site
"Tickets will go on sale later in the fall (typically in mid-October and late November) exclusively online through Ticketmaster.com or through the Ticketmaster app. The on-sale date for the first nine home games is Tuesday, October 17 at 5:00 pm ET. The on-sale date for the last eleven home games is TBD, based on availability. Tickets are not guaranteed to be available for all home games"

I think the ISU game is part of the 11 home games that have not gone on sale yet.

My way too early starting line up is

Banks, Burford, Davis, Lewis, Lieb. I could also see a world where it's Banks, Burford, Davis, Lewis, Foster.

To start, JK backs up Banks, Malachi spells Burford, Kasubke for Davis, Foster/Lewis for each other and Walker, if healthy, for Lieb. Pence will fit in somewhere, it's just unclear where. He's spending time in the 3/4 role. He's matched up with Lewis and Foster quite a bit in scrimmages and practices.

If I was going to say w/o seeing a practice or knowing anything I would say I would think the lineup and or rotation will look like this.

Starters
Pg- Banks
Sg- Burford
Sf- Davis
Pf- K. Lewis
C- Foster/ Lieb

Bench
Poindexter
Kasubke
Pence
Lieb/Foster

- I think Kinziger and Walker will play and give minutes when they can. Both have missed some time and we have depth with guys who played multiple positions last year.
-Sissoko and Schmitt are 5th year guys who can give depth if foul trouble and or the need to play calls upon.

Pops - any shot we get a new set of primary home/away (red & white) unis for this season?

The throwback whites and the black are the only unis we have worth wearing.

Minus the black uniforms, you hit the nail on the head.

Only redeeming quality of the black uniforms in my opinion are the running Reggie, otherwise they may be my least favorite. And we’ve worn them too much already.

Throwback 90s style white uniforms are very nice.

I'd be fine sliding Mal in at the 2. Just hearing Pedon talk about physicality and having seen the scrimmage DB and Mal are both very good players that bring different things. As we know, Mal is a knock down shooter. DB is more of a slasher and with his new body, has the opportunity to finish through contact in the paint. Not at all slighting Mal or saying he can't, just speaking to what I saw a couple weeks ago.

As we've all talked about, it doesn't really matter who starts, it matters who finishes. I see both Mal and DB playing "starters minutes" though only one might start.

Quick question Adunk…. how is Pence’s defense looking?
Not too bad! Surprisingly, he started matched up against Klew. Held his own, despite giving up some height and pounds. He was willing to put his body on the line and attempted to take a handful of charges.

Considering how much Pedon has talked about not having a true PG last year, JK is going to get minutes to spell Banks. Otherwise, we run into Mal or Burford running the 1. I feel like I read something in the off season that Davis could possibly run some 1? That'd be an interesting development. 10 days until IWU.

You better hope not.
