Still early, but shouldn’t we be scouting some QB talent? Potentially. Will have 2 redshirts and a walk-on next year.

I would assume that the wheels are always turning when it comes to QB scouting/recruiting.

I like Elijah’s video. He looks the part, and I think we may have found a gem. I love TX boys...if he looks big, guarantee he’s big!

Oh you want in early on a QB with the perfect pedigree. Here's OUR man.

Only a sophomore and he has already beaten SHG twice!

I don’t need anymore info...he’s from Springfield and he’s beaten SHG? My two favorite things in a QB.

Well, I'm not sure I agree with your theory, SanAntonio, if we have 3 young QB's maybe we don't need to bring in another young one.

BUT -- it wouldn't hurt to find a FBS transfer out there who might want a more prominent role who could bring some experience to the table.

Lost big to both Rochester & Chatham Glenwood twice! He is more of a threat running the ball. Will see how he looks in the playoffs, and over his next two seasons if he is a legitimate quarterback, or would be better utilized as a running back or wide receiver in college.

Mad, I think Jefferson will be going in his 3rd year here. Depending on his potential, that’s better than a transfer, right?

Rochelle has no where near the supporting cast the QBs get at Rochester and C. Glenwood. He can run but he's a legit dual-threat. He throws a good deep ball but yes we may be getting carried away too early. We'll see how he develops. He listed Illinois State as a school of interest so we should be maintaining contact and I agree that he could play more than just QB.

Yeah check out his twitter which has his commit to Illinois State. Not your typical sweatshirt and ball cap commitment. Touching.

Our commit Rashard Lampkin, Brookfield Central in Wisconsin -- won their first round playoff game last night 42-10. Lampkin rushed for 104 yards on 17 carries and 3 TD's, caught 3 passes for 22 yards, and returned a kick 80 yards for a TD.

As always, hope he is still with us!

Both of our Wisconsin commits made the Wisconsin Football Coaches Association All-State team, announced this week:

Brett Spaulding, listed at 6'5 221 from Franklin HS, WI, made the first team as "Tight End/Fullback" (and the only player listed at the positions).

Rashard Lampkin, listed at 5'10 190 from Brookfield Central HS, was Honorable Mention Offensive Back (one of 9 honorable mentions, and there were 5 listed as First Team).

Rochester Sophomore Wide Receiver, Hank Beatty, has received offers from Western Illinois, Southern Illinois, and Central Michigan in the last couple of days. Wonder if Coach Spack will be offering?

Update: Hank Beatty has now received full scholarship ride from Illinois State.

Plans are for Hank Beatty to be the Rochester starting QB next year.

I imagine if you are a RB, you are definitely looking at these solid kids we are getting on the O-Line, especially for years to come. “You’re getting through most d-fronts easily, and it’ll be your job to make something happen at the second level!”
