Congrats to the OC game plan and the QB managing that plan. Lots of injuries this year really hurt the offensive production. Hope Robinson recovers from the heavy load that will need to be repeated at CA.

Wow, did not expect tha kind of dominating performance. Must have been very good week of preparation and game planning. We won 24-6, but take away several bad calls, and it plays more like a 31-3 game, or worse.

Kudos Robinson, Jefferson, OL and defense .. very well played all the way around.

Great performance and great win! Jefferson played a solid game and accounted for two TDs running and passing. O-Line was just dominant. The defense played their normal outstanding game. Nice to have Edgar back, he beat the DB badly on the TD. Robinson was just terrific today. Fun game and nice win.

they need to stick Robinson in an ice bath for the next 3 days, then let him thaw for a day or 2, then warm him up just for walk thrus .. then wash, rinse, repeat next saturday !!!!!

I hate the CAA and now I hate them more. The officials are from the CAA

Is that 3 :text-+1: for every bad call that cost us points ??

Spack will send in several bad calls this week, 3 cost us points:

- the incomplete pass vs fumble, took 7 points off scoreboard. There is no way that was incomplete pass .. he caught it, turned up field, got hit and then ball was stripped on way down .. and the reversed it after a very very long review .. must have been looking real hard to reverse that one.
- the 2 holds on their fake punt run for 30+ yards that resulted in a FG .. I didn't see these, but Bison poster claimed it
- the blatant offensive PI on their 40+ yard plass play that resuled in their other FG .. I saw this one, it was blatant push and our DB fell straight back with official right there.

3 key missed calls and 24-6 becomes at least 31-0, or worse.

Great win for the program. Time to move forward. Central Arkansas QB is the real deal. Let's show him what our defense is all about!

Couple quick thoughts:

Amazing what a week working as the #1 with the starters will do for a "backup". Great job Jefferson, booyah to you for getting the job done under pressure.

Don't need to preach to most on this board, but if no one has appreciated James Robinson up to now, pay attention while you can. He is one of the very best we've ever had, and we've had some good ones. Great day for a great Redbird.

Don't want to dog the OVC, don't know enough about them, but I was thinking while watching, these guys are back to back playoff team from the OVC, champs, and you know, our much-maligned OL was just pushing them around, and our tough D shutting them down.

And booyah too to the OL for getting the job done today, not only opening up the holes for J Rob but protecting the rookie QB.

No reason the boys can't pull another rabbit out of their hats on the field of purple next weekend!!

will do more research but UCA is a lot like SEMO in this sense .. their stats reflect a 7-5 or 6-6 team, not a 9-3 team. Their opponents have more 1st downs and mroe total yards, but UCA kept finding ways to win. They got the 8th seed, but lost easily to the 2 best teams in their conference, SELA and Nicholls St, both good but inconsistent .. so UCA might be the 3rd best team in Southland, despite beign the 3rd seed. Like us, they avoided upset for most part.

But they throw a lot more than they run .. and they just aren't very good running the ball and they sure won't look to run on us.if they run 65 plays, 40 will be passes, 25 will be runs .. but probably less runs against us

We will need to go with more speed in our LBer group. And time to dial up our pass rush .. looking for 5+ sacks and 10 QBHs !!!!

The Missouri Valley prides itself on being the best and most physical conference. That came through today. We led with our ace James Robinson and a battering array of linemen, tight ends and fullbacks it may have been all we needed. Jefferson took care of business by protecting the ball and by not making mistakes.
4 for 7 passing for 52 yards 1 TD and 0 int's may not be the sexiest stat line but it was a winner.

James had the gaudy numbers and Mad is right. I don't think we fully appreciate him. He's very patient and smart. He can stop and start and advance the ball in a variety of ways but he may want to retire the Jackie Carmichael leg kick. I just like the way he scores TDs. He keeps the ball tight and his head looking straight ahead. I don't think the Redhawks saw many backs like him this year.

Ok Redbirds, keep believing in yourselves and the man next to you. Keep playing physical football with few mistakes. 16 is Sweet, Elite 8 is better.

Excellent W!!!!!

Congrats to the players and coaches.

Yes indeed on James Robinson. Tremendous career he’s had. One of the best for sure.

Nice game by Jefferson. That was a great ball to Edgar.

Defense showed out. Great effort

What a difference a week makes. I did not see this coming and like what we have in Jefferson. With him under center, I think we can make it two in a row. The only negative in my opinion was the number of mileage put on James Robinson today. We need a #2 to come in and run the ball a little. I'm hoping James Robinson eats lots of protein and gets plenty of sleep this week as his body could sure use it.

On to Conway to make it 2 in a row!

Pound the ball on the ground with Robinson and keep our D fresh by controlling the clock and letting them rest. Nice job, Birds!!
