Sandwiched in-between 2 rivalry games is a Redbird Surprise awaiting SDSU!
If we have our two headed monster running attack...I think the Birds come to play in the trenches (our recipe for W's and success).

As some have pointed out, SDSU isn't great on run D and NDSU made a ton of mistakes/TO's in the game (Easton Stick 3 INT's and a fumble :? + 1 more fumble :shock: from WR Darrius Shepherd).

Now that SDSU actually has a playable surface and instant replay I think they kindly checked the only things holding us back up in Brookings.

p.s. NDSU only ran the ball 27 times for 108 yards without their lead back, Lance Dunn. Mr. Robinson and Smith will do better for the Birds.

So NDSU was missing their stud RB Lance Dunn, the better of the 2 they have, who average 7.9 yards per carry .. 3rd in FCS behind a guy from Yale and a guy form Campbell .. neither of which count.

So they relied on 5 turnovers and NDSU stud RB being out to win this game at home by 12.

starting to like our chances a bit more to steal one .. got to win the run game and trenches on both side of ball.
