This. All game, every game. He’s also not afraid of the moment. Calm, cool. Was stunned to see he had zero fouls. Considering he played against seemingly bigger, stronger, faster guards … no fouls in 30 minutes. I can’t remember ever seeing him reach versus moving his feet. Did see him get beat a couple times, but sometimes even the best get beat and frosh will get beat occasionally because … well frosh.

Not too worried about lack of assists. Most of his passes weren’t to guys spotting up or cutting to the bucket, but to guys moving outside the arc. Assists will come. 2 TOs in 30 minutes from a pg, I’ll take every game. Johnny‘s gonna compete for all-frosh team and maybe even all-bench team (provided the Birds win enough games).

For me, lot of positives from the SLU game. Yes, we lost. But this is going to be a long term project. We didn’t just fall into a poor program overnight, and Coach Pedon is not going to rebuild the program overnight. It sucks; but we’re going to have to be patient.

We have a lot of guys that don’t know how to win. Lewis never won here. Luke, Mal never won being a key contributor. Have to learn how to close games and make winning a habit.

St Louis best player (Parker) got hurt late in the game against Wyoming. Left with 22 points 8 Rebounds. He did not play in the Vermont or Bitchita State games.
