Last year that pussy ended North Dakota States undefeated streak in the MVFC, today he took his Salukis on the road and knocked off #2 ranked South Dakota State. Sure wish this pussy was wearing a Redbird uniform.
Our staff probably didn't even know Baker existed until they saw him in a SIU uniform.

I was at the Rochester/U-High game @ Hancock Nic’s Senior year. Spack stood on his balcony and watched briefly as Nic and the Rockets put the Pioneers in a early running clock. All Spack saw was a 5-7 1/2 inch 4A quarterback that would not do well at the FCS level. Let me rephrase that, Nic Baker was not good enough to play QB @ Illinois State University.

Nobody knew about him. 99% of D1 programs will not give a 5'9 QB even a look. Good for SIU for taking a chance on an undersized QB. It has worked out for them. Take a look at his metrics, he is not fast, short, and not impressive with his lifts. That is scaring away most. I hope the best for as he has proven he belongs.

What D-1 offers did Baker have?
Nic Baker’s size prevented him from receiving D1 offers. Coach Spack also thought he was too small to play at Illinois State. Nic proved at Rochester how good he was, now he’s proving at (unfortunately) SIU how good he is. He is now rated (by NCAA.Com) as the #5 QB in FCS. Would have loved to see him & Avante Cox wearing a Redbirds uniform.

Yes he was clearly undervalued in the recruiting process.
