Season Prediction

[Retire 12]

With the non-con wrapping up, and us heading into conference play, I wanted to take a stab at our "heading into the MVC tourney" record...

19-12.

I think we lose the game at UCF, bringing us to 7-6 on the non-con slate.
I think we sweep Missouri State, Valpo, Evansville, and Northern Iowa, and take 1 from everyone else but Southern. I think SIU beats us twice. That gives us a conference record of 12-6.

Optimistic? Probably. But I just don't see us losing to any of the bottom 4 no matter where the game is played, and I think we can snag 1 win from everyone else. SIU or Loyola probably steals one in Redbird, and I'm thinking SIU.

19-12 was on my low end of expectations heading into this season. Now it seems like that'll be an optimistic point of view.

I always like to do this heading into the MVC and generally find out the Non Con and the Conference can be vastly different. This year is particularly challenging as nobody is good, but most have shown signs of life. You don't want to be the team that plays them when they have their game. Example....At Valpo last year. They were not good, but beat us up in the 2nd half.

IL State 12-6
IN State 12-6
Loyola 11-7
Bradley 11-7
Drake 9-9
Mo. St. 6-12
Evansville 6-12
Valpo 6-12
No. Iowa 4-14

I agree with this prediction, but I think SIU will go 16-2 since we play them twice.
