Rey retweeted Milik’s tweet that he was coming back yesterday.

The kid seems VERY excited about being a Redbird.

Rey re-tweeted Milik's tweet that said "#UnfinishedBusiness with my brothers."

I don't think Rey is going anywhere. He has been bought in on Twitter with anything about the program for a long time now.

I would not be worried. If you follow Rey on twitter he is very much still engaged with the program including retweeting Milik's tweet announcing his plan to return to ISU. My guess is that there might be a plan to Redshirt at least Dixon but maybe both
to allow them to develop (Dixon physically and Rey from a basketball skill set perspective), especially given the depth we have if everyone else returns. I also have no idea why everyone thinks that Romine is leaving. Why would a) he come back to the team last year and b) Muller offer public support over and over and over again if we wasn't willing to get him back in the fold this year?

Who knows though....they could be in the process of trying to get their release with a waiver from the transfer sit rule but I would see possibility of that as being extremely slim as players typically are committing to the head coach and I can't remember somebody being allowed out of the transfer sit rule because an assistant left.

I am wondering why in Jims Pantagraph article about MY not entering the draft he talks about Copeland, Jefferson and Chastain next year but no mention of the 2 6'9" guys? Prolly means nothing.

"ISU had no seniors on this season's roster and will add junior college guards Zach Copeland and Josh Jefferson along with sophomore forward Matt Chastain, a transfer from Loyola. With Yarbrough returning, ISU figures to be a contender for the Valley title along with Loyola, Southern Illinois and Bradley."
He didn't at the end of the season either, so this is twice he hasn't mentioned them for next season. Has me very worried.

Who was the lead recruiter for Rey

For me, Rey was never the question of the incoming freshman, Dixon on the other hand just based of inactivity on social media is a little more of a question mark. He is not as engaged as Rey and has a clear connection with Penny, who has been recruiting him since his ETSU days. We'll know a lot more in the next 2-3 weeks.

Muller and Milik are currently having a press conference to discuss his decision to stay. It should be up on Goredbirds.com this afternoon. I'll be disappointed if a question is not asked about potential departures of other players or what the scholarship situation will look like.

Given history, I am not going to hold my breath these questions are going to be asked, but they very much should be.

Benson asked! He asked coach if there is any other news about roster movement or anything and Muller said, "Not yet. There could be, but not yet."

Not necessarily in that order.

Bradley will be in the mix too. And don’t sleep on Valpo. They have 3-4 solid players back.

Valpo will add Ryan Fazekas who sat this year as a transfer. He is a very good shooter that has been working hard. I can see him being an impact player as a starter.

I think that Illinois State, Loyola, and Southern Illininois will all be NCAA caliber teams in the 2018-19 season. They just need to schedule good and win games they are favored to win, win a couple they are not favored to win, and do not lose games they are favored to win. Do that and the MVC could be a 3 bid conference in 2018-19

I also think that Bradley & Valparaiso are going to be good in 2018-19 which could put both in the NIT.

Those top five may be as good a top five as the MVC has had in a long time.

As for Indiana State, if Jordan Barnes returns they could be pretty good for a team that I would pick as #6 in the conference.

My Thursday night teams would be Northern Iowa, Missouri State, Evansville, & Drake.

ISU Blue also have Williams a transfer from Iowa.

That will definitely make the top six teams as good as the Valley has seen in a long time.

Schedule strong and win your games and the MVC could be #6 RPI (Unless Gonzaga & BYU join the MWC)

Love the first minute of that!!! That shows why Milik needs the coach..."take your hand out of your shirt".

 I laughed pretty hard at that.

One thing I loved hearing MY say was that he wanted to cover the best player on the floor for the opposing team next year. I think he has fully bought in to defense and what Dan and Co are trying to do. I'm pretty excited to see how he develops going into next year. It could be a very fun season.

Milik can be as good of a defender as he wants to be. He's obviously got quick feet..he's also got a wingspan of 7'2" and he's not afraid of the physical part of the game. I'm remember watching him guard Pippen in the semi's...he was really working hard on him. That really impressed me.

I'm just hoping for a nice quiet off season. Most news during the off season is bad news.

with the kid from NWCHS not going to ISU, Dan will use that scholarship on a player on the team now. easy call. Most likely will repeat the same action again with one of the other signers not making admittance requirments and going one year juco with a promise of a ride after making admittance requirements to ISU.

I love that Mark reads 1/8th of the ISU news and just goes wild with it like it is hard fact.

Like an archaeologist that finds one leg bone and nothing else then decides the dinosaur it belonged to had 3 heads and a big horn sticking out of its head.

To be fair it's not like he is even getting the 1/8th of information he has right...its more like he is a guy who plays an archeologist at kids parties, that finds a Lincoln log and assumes its the leg bone to a dinosaur with 3 heads....
