We don't necessarily have to lose anyone. But yes there will need to be scholarship adjustments.Redbrd1 said:Something has to give right? How many scholarship players do we have now, like 50? Are we playing BB or FB?
We need, i think 3-4 people to leave right, or lose their scholarships? Any ideas? Hein, Gassman, Chastain, TB, Williams, Romine?

I'm not sayin' I'm just sayin' Chastain is going to be really good and is underrated by many on this board.

Williams and Romine are medical redshirts and won't play again but will be on scholarship (won't count against our 13). Chastain and Gassman are walk-ons.

How much playing time will Matt Hein get in 2018-19 season?
2019-20 season?
Would benefit his career to either graduate this summer and be a grad transfer with two years of eligibility, or
Transfer and sit a year with two years of eligibility left.
He seems to love the game. Would think he would want to go where he could be a starter his last two seasons. JMO

Florida Gulf Coast would be perfect for Ndiaye 1 and Hein.

Hard to imagine Chastain is a team captain in HCDMs mind yet a walk on. Unless he's cool with that, like Jordan taking a pay cut for a better roster.Santa Cason said:TIMMY said:We don't necessarily have to lose anyone. I'm not sayin' I'm just sayin' Chastain is going to be really good and is underrated by many on this board.
I agree. He will be a contributor, whether it’s as a walk-on or not.
If pressed, based on what we currently have, I’ll say Ike, Chastain and Romine are all walk-ons in 18-19.

Seriously, that may actually be the next thing in college basketball...coaches adopting kids for free tuition.Bird Friend said:SgtHulka said:And coaches son. Not saying it's impossible but seems an odd combo.
So Dan should adopt him.
Baltimore Bird said:Kids Of a University employee probably got free tuition. Mcdermott would fall into that category which basically gave Creighton and extra scholarship
