Their job is to selflessly make everyone else better. Why would you not throw a kid a bone if you have one available. It's not like the student body"s going to get a refund for an unused scholarship. And you might just keep a kid around who gets on the floor down the road like Gassman did.
Kid's got all summer to prove himself. If he's worthy of a "bone" and we still have a schollie . . . I would make the spring semester conditional should a valuable mid-season transfer becomes available to the Birds.
