This sounds fantastic. But, how is he immediately eligible?

It’s possible he can show that Marshall has recruited over him and was advised he’d have limited/no PT. Can be used to get a waiver. WSU has 6 PGs either listed on the team or as incoming recruits. Two are walk-ons. Has 3 incoming recruits at PG that are all 4-star players.

Great addition. Dan can teach him how to shoot.

Not too worried about his shooting. Handle the ball and play defense.

247 lists no witchita recruits above 3 stars.

Verbal Committs shows 2- 4* LOI's and 1- 4* VC
Not sure which one is more accurate, Verbal Commits or 247

One article says he went to a JUCO I think in FL. after earning his GED (didn’t play Bball) to better his academic standing , and then 2 years at the MO. JUCO, and 1 year at Wichita. So 4 years of school, and 3 years of playing b-ball, which means could be a Grad Transfer with one year to play.

Bad grades, bad attitude but a "bad boy" defender and ball handler. You can't win if you don't gamble some.

Anyway, never heard of this guy. I hope he's just bench depth.

Betcha he's our starting point guard all year, assuming he's eligible. Our roster is now officially interesting.

You guys are getting a pretty solid player here. He's really good in the pick in roll and very creative when finding others. His biggest struggles this year was his size and his 3 pt shooting. He was a 43% 3 pt shooter in Juco and then shot like 8% last year. It has to be a mental thing so hopefully he can get over that hump. He has a good mid range pull-up though.

Overall he's a solid player that just got beat out by our freshman Jamarius Burton as the year went along last year. Burton has a lot of size on Torres which allowed him more flexibility on the defensive end. By the end of the year it was pretty clear that between Burton and the multiple 4* top 150 guards coming in that he wasn't going to get much playing time.

It looks like WSU is going to help ISU push for immediate Eligibility for him too.

If anyone wants to read his backstory, here is a write up our beat writer did. Kid has been through a lot.
