Roman Penn is a great guard and was in the running for Larry Bird award with Krutwig. His shooting had fallen the last 3 or 4 games but he is excellent. Yesufu had three great games and is remarkably quick. Sometimes I think he dribbles too much and does not get the other players involved but there is no doubt he is talented.
Drake without their missing players are better than Bradley is without their missing players. However, Bradley with all their players may be able to steal a game (which is what the Redbirds need). Hoping Drake can win Friday and Bradley beat a tired, short handed Drake on Saturday.
Strictly for conference dollars, would like to at least see Drake win their next four. Despite a should-be-a-lock NET ranking, selection committee always looking for reasons to keep the little sisters of the poor out of the dance. Getting to the final with four more wins would be harder to ignore (especially if they play Loyola in the final and can keep it within single digits). Plus, we are not going anywhere anyway, so the more money coming into our coffers, the better.
But everyone can come back next year! Maybe the dream of a #6 seed will be fulfilled!
