Do you believe they will demote her back to her old role once the new ad arrives? Aka is this interim too

Would you be willing to take a demotion if you were with the university as long as Leanna? No, they won't demote her. The next AD has the option to maintain her at that level or not renew her contract.

i was hoping someone that knows her would say she is outstanding and in her new expanded role will get our coaches and staff expenses, that are for some reason millions higher than our conference peers, investigated and shrunk. alternatively it looks like our coaches and staff expenses are now growing even higher with her promotion

My guess is that Larry has some gas left in the tank and would enjoy the benefit from the “double dip” of collecting his IL state pension on top of a nice salary for (approx.) a year.
