Well FedX does have a vested interest in the success of U of M playing in Fed X arena. Having lots of eyes seeing their logo on the floor and not those UPS guys. They are huge world wide corporation that also sponsor a pro golf tournament in Memphis. We need a lot of regional corporations and more locals to step up. Unfortunately, one our most recent donors was a crook. We need enough NIL money to steal from the lesser conferences to back fill the guys we have leave for greener manure!

Using the same logic, spose it would be "rude" to hit up CEFCU for some NIL to help out their exposure at the arena. ;)

I think you’ll see that I’ve said the NCAA needs to fix it, not us. I’ve said the NCAA should have been preparing for NIL, but they didn’t. I’ve said they need to be preparing for the likelihood that players will become employees of member institutions. They also need to prepare for contractual negotiations with the athletes’ union, the athletes, and the institutions.

Just because you can’t understand that I stated some things they should’ve done and should be working on, doesn’t mean I didn’t. Just because you think the NCAA couldn’t known NIL would happen, doesn’t make it so. They knew it. THEY didn’t plan for it. And, for crying out loud, when did I ever say I had the plan. That’s the NCAA’s job. Think about it. I believe even you can figure that out.

Now. Are done attacking me? I need to know whether to mute you or not.

A Deloitte & Touche study on the unstable environment of higher learning offers some advice for the future, including the seismic shifts in athletics. You can find their suggestions in the section titled “A new playing field: The changing landscape of college athletics.” When the split in D1 athletics comes, ISU will not be able to afford the “$7-10M” minimum annual funding for NIL pay. I would guess some in the power conferences won’t make the cut either.
