Ok going way back for this one. Back late 70s to 80 Illinois State football had a wide receiver named Jim Fitzpatrick that became a professional actor. He had a regular role on the soap "All My Children" among many other movie and TV credits. Recently I was watching the video for the "I would do anything for love" song by Meatloaf. The police detective in the video wearing glasses and holding a flashlight is a dead ringer for him but I can't confirm it. It's just a music video and he doesn't have any speaking lines so I can't find the part credited anywhere. But somebody out there knows the answer. Maybe Fitz himself? Can someone confirm if this is him? I think this deserves an award for best nonspeaking music video performance because he's one very intent and serious detective. ;)

Shelby is coming back to the Broncos for 1 year $3.25. I'm surprised there wasn't more of a market for him.

Wonder what happened .. apparently theres even conflicting reports over whether there is actually a deal with Bronco's yet ... with Bronco's saying there is no deal yet. Hope this deal closes for him.

Something happened to affect this, or maybe there's just a lot of depth at DT in draft and/or free agent market .. I'm not follow that.

Nicki Jhabvala reported it on The Athletic and twitter, and I've never seen her post an inaccurate story. I don't know what happened to his market.

Oh, Klis. He's a hack who is often mistaken. Schefter took him to the woodshed a couple of days ago for an inaccurate story about Melvin Gordon.

Congrats to Harris. He’s a big part of what could be a really good defense in Denver and cool that he and Davontae Harris will be teammates again .

He hopefully has another big season.

Didn't really think this needed its own thread, so I'll park it here. Grad assistant moving on:

Ben Black has joined the staff as a defensive graduate assistant after serving in the same capacity at Illinois State University in 2019.

Most fans will shrug their shoulders over the loss of a GA but Ben Black can coach. I'm glad that he is going to Indiana as a grad asst because it leaves the door open to bringing him back as a full-time asst. Of course we already have an excellent D-Line Coach in Brian Hendricks. Coach Spack raves about him. That's the problem - he's too good. Hendricks will have a highly talented and experienced group of D-Linemen to coach. That's great news for the upcoming season and bad news for afterwards. I fully expect Hendricks to get some FBS offers for '21, and maybe even some P5 offers. When Hendricks leaves (not really an "if" in my mind), then I have to believe that Ben Black is high on the shortlist of replacements.
