I hope you had a great time, TR.

I did thanks. My daughter and her boyfriend live in Stapleton. He's a Raider Fan so he and I went with him in silver and black and me in orange and blue to cheer on Shelby and Davontae. We took the train in from Stapleton. Good game. Cold but not too bad for late December. Two passes batted down by Shelby! And the Broncos win. Also got to see a bit of history with the last Oakland Raider game. Almost time to board the flight back. No live football until spring practice. Go Birds.

That's great. Shelby saved the game by knocking down that pass - that little receiver was wide open in the endzone. Regardless of their respective records that game, being the last Oakland Raiders game in Denver, was historic.

Hard to believe the airport was at Stapleton until DIA was built. Its about 20 minutes directly North of me down Quebec st.

I think Tre will be an NFL training camp over the summer.

Kudos to Tre Roberson .. great story converting from QB to CB .. this can't be at all common in those positions. Minnesota liked him a lot when he got his original tryout .. I don't know if they are set at CB, but would assume Vikings were keeping an eye on him in CFL.

Still want to see what he can do as punt returner.

Bears are going to replace Prince Amukamara and his contract. I was hoping they would go after a different Trae. Waynes who played for me. But Roberson would come at a better price and might be a better tackler. Either way I'm happy.

Former Redbird DL Damian Gregory was recognized by the Alumni Association for his contributions to education and youth.

Senator John W. Maitland Jr. Commitment to Education Award
Damian K. Gregory
Founder and executive director, Gridiron Group

Great job of course by Gregory, but also by those who were aware of his work and nominated him. As a player, Gregory was an all american on the defensive line for the Redbirds in the late 90s.

Great for Tre .. but how the heck do you work out for 18 teams ??? Just brutal putting yourself out there like that ... going to be a real grind unless someone says we know enough already early on.

Shelby hired Drew Rosenhaus as his agent. That means he'll drive for every last dollar - as he should - but its very unlikely he'll be back in Denver. I'll miss him. He directly affected the outcome of 3 different games in the past two years.

Didn't realize he was up to 290 lbs .. Bears injuries at DT positin took a toll this year ... would love to see him playing along side a healthy Hicks .. probably not in our DT budget as a priority.

He was only here for a short time, but David Kenney was one of ours for a while, DE transfer from Indiana, 2014 or 2015?

Winnipeg Blue Bombers/CFL:
The team has added running back Jordan Robinson and defensive ends David Kenney and Meffy Koloamatangi.

Sorry, don't handle Twitter all that well.
good catch on David Kenny .. thought he never played a whole lot, but looked like he had good potential just based on his bio. Good for him.

whoa, there's more .. he got a tryout with Tampa Bay and nearly made game roster, though put on waivers. During tyrout, he got a lot of praise for rushing the QB, but then got injured I think, which led to him getting put on waivers. And now apparently wound up in Canada.

Keep an eye on this guy.

Saw the item in the "transactions" on the sports page and for some reason the name stuck out - at times I'm afraid the memory banks are going haywire, and then I remember something like this!! Checked his bio and then saw the stuff about him "leaving".

I don’t use Twitter. But Tre Roberson is a Chicago Bear. Schefter reporting. Largest CFL to NFL deal since Cameron Wake.

With Prince Amukamara likely being cut for cap reasons I’d say Tre has a chance to start on an elite NFL defense.

Congrats Tre. What a story :D
