we're messing with you Lakes .. Randy Reinhardt is our Pantagraph Newspaper sport writer who covers ISU closest. But I do hear he kills it on karaoke night at the local pubs.

p.s. very good return of serve there Adunk .. the walkman comment was a nice touch.

No subway system, BUT we do have Subways in every dorm.

Anyone know of any Chicagoland watch parties? I'm not finding anything on goredbirds.com

I wonder if Flagship tavern will have the game. I would be up for meeting and watching it there with some REDBIRD fans

Forgot about Flagship. Just checked their website and it looks like they'll have the game there.

Let me know if you are heading over there as I will call and reserve table. Looking to meet a few Redbirds.

Edit. btw met the owner of Flagship a couple of years ago and he is a great guy and a Redbird to the core. He is also a big advocate of ISU and was on the football team. We might as well give our business to a fellow Redbird plus I actually like Flagship itself.

No pep talk, no prediction, it's just time to get in the car and start the first leg of the journey to Fargo.

THIS IS A BUSINESS TRIP

Drive to Fargo?!!!! ... WOW. Was just looking and round trip from Normal to Atlanta or Buffalo is a hundred miles or more shorter than driving to Fargo....also generally the wrong direction to travel. Birds better win or that is triple misery coming home. Drink some Red Bull!! Go Redbirds!!!

I was very pleased to see ISU run a reverse against SIU. It was their first since about 1902. Now I would like to see a double reverse sometime this decade. It could keep the bison linebackers honest.

 I think I remember that play in 1902 ... hate to burst your bubble, but i recall the RB actually fumbled the ball and it was luckily recovered by a decoy WR who was actually running to the bench for a water break .. he got a nice hop on the fumble, scooped it up and would have had a TD had he not stopped for water on the way ... so technically, last week was our first.

I think Jim Heacock ran a reverse for Renaldo Gallagher in 1990.

Count me in on the side that does not like reverses - generally plays to get a tackle for loss or fumble. Defenses are much faster than 30 years ago.
