Sam Shafer is transferring from SIU. He's a 6'6 shooter from Lincoln Way East. He was a redshirt last year, but will have 4 years of eligibility. He should be immediately eligible pending a waiver.

Only other offers out of HS were UT-Martin and Montana State.

Tim Finke got a lot of attention and hype beyond his actual talent/ability due in large part to his family legacy, IMO. A decent mid major player but no way a high major or the #2 high school player in the state of Illinois. In his u17 season he went head to head with the big time players via the EYBL and he struggled. His stock fell big time.

Evidently he has been injured since about his junior year in high school until now as he has fallen from having high majors interested to dropping to current status.

Not sure how many scholarships they have left. I feel like it Mitchell commits today or tomorrow, we are probably out with Reeves based on what else we are looking for.

Actually that is correct, he did get hurt his Junior year and it continued to get worse. Spring before his senior year he started off the EYBL season strong and then suffered an injury that he never really recovered from. If anyone saw the Centralia Holiday Tournament Championship game his senior year, he went toe to toe with EJ Liddell, with Belleville West eventually winning by 1. Tim was not even able to walk to the locker room at halftime, as he had to receive treatment from trainers. Tim is a "foxhole guy" and I would have loved to see him at ISU. I think he will do big things at Wright State, and his hype was not about family legacy, it was about ability.
