Agreed. NW was bad last year so thinking if he was the end all he would have had some playing time. As with all transfers you never know.

BUT HE WAS A 4* recruit and chose NW over practically the whole Big 10! He HAS to be the second coming of Karl Malone.

You can ridicule SIU’s signing of Benson if that makes one feel good but no doubt that is a decent pick up. Barret will be a starter and good role player. His speed, or lack of, was an issue in the Big. Edit...his speed and the fact the NU had one of the best centers in the big ten (pardon) made it a challenge for pt. Take pardon away and benson plays many minutes
