Thought it was a good game. I think Childs was playing for his future elsewhere. I think I have heard that he and Wardle don't see eye to eye. How about Izzo having to be retrained from his one player multiple times? Yikes that looks bad when a coach is doing that.

That's Izzo...hes incredibly intense, and gets into it with his players regularly. I've seen it happen at least a dozen times of the years. His guys love him though, and they are almost always good afterwards.

Can't remember which player it was, but when Illinois State was leading Louisville by about 9 points, Pitino ripped into him big time. I think the player ended up with twenty-some points. I think if Pitino had not ripped into that player and got his attention, Louisville would have lost that game (should have lost anyway: horible calls on the Jackie offensive foul on the dunk & on the Ekey flagrant foul). If Izzo would not have ripped into his player yesterday, Michigan may have lost that game.

What I can't understand is why it works for other coaches, but does not seem to work for Dan.

You have to build relationships with players for it to work. You can’t be a lunatic, have two a days most of the season, and expect players to respond.

When I played, if one of our guys did something good on the court our coach would run out on the floor and give us a snickers bar.

Drake loses to national powerhouse Southern Utah, 80-73 to end the embarrassment known as the 2018-19 MVC basketball season. #0for3

It is the tourney and I always root for the valley teams. It hurts that it is Bradley and feels wrong on so many levels but it is what it is.
But it makes total sense. I mean if Bradley does well that means ISU will get better. Having Bradley on national television will make recruits want to come to ISU! We saw the bball program soar after Final Four appearances by WSU and LU! Wait, no it won't and no we didn't. The only success we should care about in the MVC is ISU's.

Actually ISU does benefit along with every other valley team with the money. Last year's lu run got us a nice little profit.

We have 5 more years of receiving that $140,000 each year. Let's see how much better the ISU product becomes because of the extra $$. Year 1 = regression. Year 2 = go ahead, predict it.

So you would rather not have that extra money. Weird stance to take but to each their own.

I don't think it's worth cheering for Bradley to advance in the tournament. If Bradley would have made a crazy run, other than the $$, how does it help us?

You stand with BU in the NCAA tournament. I don't. The way things are trending you may have another opportunity a year from now to take the same stance. Have a good night.

Just got back for Vegas and will admit that bu played very well. I was surprised that this one wasn't a blowout. Part msu taking them lightly and part bu just playing well. No one we ran into even knew who bu was or where they were from. Go figure.

That being said, the vaunted 17th best conference in America went 0-3 in the post season. Sad. So much for all that Loyola momentum from last year.

Former MVC member Wichita State makes it to the NIT Final Four. Sad that Gregg Marshall’s worst team had more success than Dan Muller’s best team.

Also sad... The Go You Shockers lead out to commercial breaks they used a few times.
