It looks like the game is in Valparaiso at the ARC.
I went off the MVC website. What the heck is going on.
It looks like the game is in Valparaiso at the ARC.
UIC -5-1UIC beat GW 89 79. They appear to be greatly improved.
We’re gonna find out Thursday.UIC beat GW 89 79. They appear to be greatly improved.
Humrichous averaged 12.8 points per game last year at an NAIA school. Now he looks like a first team ALL-MVC pick. I don’t get it.UIC -5-1
Evansville - 6-0
ISU - 3-3
I really hope they have not passed us by.
Seems to be the consensus or close on the Valley board. There is a thread to repick and ISU is 10 or 11 with everyone. This week will be interesting with the first 2 chances to play each other. Really big to get a snapshot of where ISU is, but also are Evansville and UIC is good as they are looking? Have to admit, I’m not very confident of going to UIC and getting a winThere is a very real possibility that last place is between us and Valpo.
I said in an earlier post they both will be tougher outs this year. They’re both athletic teamsUIC -5-1
Evansville - 6-0
ISU - 3-3
I really hope they have not passed us by.
Do you / does anyone have an updated list of what the MVC is spending on MBB? Someone has commented often in VB/WBB on what we spend in comparison to others. I know when Pedon got here they redid the entire locker room and the Bilas dinner raised a lot. Are we struggling from a budget standpoint in comparison to our peers? This program can’t afford to be this bad any longer. We are almost 2 complete Freshman-Senior cycles from being relevant. It’s been 25 years since we danced. Is this Pedon’s fault? No. Is it time to sack up and spend like we are a premier program in the MVC? Yes.
On top of that, people picking Evansville as high as 4th and 5th.Seems to be the consensus or close on the Valley board. There is a thread to repick and ISU is 10 or 11 with everyone.
To me it’s not about where the programs started. It’s more about who’s onboard right now. With all the turnover programs are going through nowadays a 1 year turnaround is pretty much the norm in some programs. So miss some don’t. Either way the talent level have been upped in The Valley. On top of that, people picking Evansville as high as 4th and 5th.
I don’t think it shakes out that way, but if the Birds did finish that far behind an Evansville program that started a rebuild at the same time, from a worse position. Yeesh…

There is zero reason why any of those schools should be ahead of us. Valpo, UNI, Bradley have major $$$ issues.2023
