Totally agree. If we can win 20 games this season then change needs to happen.
Any other year and we’d probably be 2-7 in conference.

Elgin needs to go. This league has died. The Valpo vs. Mo State game was a sad example of what the league has become. 2 bad teams playing in front of a small crowd in a high school gym.

What does that say for the other 30+ conferences that did not make the FF. Including P5 conferences.. A lot of death going around college bb, I guess.

Some serious melodrama on here. I don't know that the MVC had died. There is a lot more parity in the league. Personally, I think that makes a much more compelling tournament but that's me.

As far as last night's game, the weather was atrocious. If there were a game at Redbird, how many would we draw in the severe cold?

The lows have been pretty low and we have the potential to have some pretty big highs before it is all said and done. Tonight and Saturday are huge.

RPI has the MVC ranked as the 13th best conference out of the 32. All things being equal that would give our tournament winner a 12 seed. If Loyola goes on a run and wins the tournament, expect a 10 or 11 seed. Anyone else, expect a 13 or 14 seed.

RPI doesn't matter any more. It's about NET rating. Anyone other than Loyola is looking at a 14 or 15 at best.

I used RPI ranking the MVC as the 13th best because I couldn't find any other conference ranking. I'm just pointing out, even on a down year, the MVC is still ahead of most conferences in the country.

Most conferences have 1 or maybe 2 teams ahead of Loyola right now. That is why bracketologists have Loyola so low. Most of those conferences are also weaker than the MVC from 3rd place on down. There will be plenty of upsets as usual tournament time which will bump up where the MVC team will wind up.

I agree that the conference is down as a whole. I'm hoping we can take advantage of it.

14th would be lowest seed...MVC gets a 15 then time to get out of the MVC death spiral as players with talent not likely coming to MVC....problem is no one of substance wants ISU.
