It's bad enough that Illinois State University is in the same conference as Valpo, to throw NKU on top of that would be truly embarrassing. How low does the bar have to fall before the decision makers at Illinois State get off their asses?I'll take Northern Kentucky in a heartbeat and not miss a beat.
Nah I’m good with MVC and FCS if this was going to be our best option… that conference sucks.I posted this in football, but I don't get out any school can afford travel for all their sports.

NKU has one of the best mid-major arenas in the country. It's bad enough that Illinois State University is in the same conference as Valpo, to throw NKU on top of that would be truly embarrassing. How low does the bar have to fall before the decision makers at Illinois State get off their asses?
Well . . . first we need to have competent and strong leaders who can sit in their seats long enough to be able to get off their asses. It's bad enough that Illinois State University is in the same conference as Valpo, to throw NKU on top of that would be truly embarrassing. Real questions: when the NCAA splits off the “professional” division, will being in the MAC or CUSA or other ‘FBS’ conference be of any real added value? Will enough bowls survive to leave room for the non-pro divisions? Will relegation become a thing in NCAA divisions?MVC will be done in five years - time to jump to MAC and play Miami Ohio and Western Michigan and N Illinois instead of South Dakota and other BS FCS
NDSU and SDSU would have no problem with them. SIU won at NIU. South Dakota is better than W Michigan and NIU (and possibly Miami)MVC will be done in five years - time to jump to MAC and play Miami Ohio and Western Michigan and N Illinois instead of South Dakota and other BS FCS
Compelling points and questions.Real questions: when the NCAA splits off the “professional” division, will being in the MAC or CUSA or other ‘FBS’ conference be of any real added value? I can’t help but feel like jumping to the lesser FBS conferences is like scrambling to afford the latest fashion just as the fashion goes out of style.
This is backed by zero evidence and completely made up by people trying to use fear-mongering as a method to sway opinion.MVC will be done in five years
Exactly what I was thinking. Consistent success too, a lot like Belmont.NKU has one of the best mid-major arenas in the country.
I don't think you know anything about NKU.
Just think how high the MAC would be in basketball rankings, if they only had ISU.NDSU and SDSU would have no problem with them. SIU won at NIU. South Dakota is better than W Michigan and NIU (and possibly Miami)
MAC is 23rd Ranked In NCAA Basketball
MVC is 10th ranked in College Basketball
