Post players are an easy target. He hasn't been great, but for the role and minutes I think there are more frustrating players on this team.
Our defense is trash when he is on the floor. If he isn’t in position to block a shot, he is a liability. Granted, this is Kentucky but I have seen our defense out of sorts when he is on the floor in other games.

Our offense and defense looks the best when he isn’t on the floor.

I found it interesting on the broadcast the announcing team shared that they talked with Pedon and he said the numbers are misleading and we're a much better 3-point shooting team than the statistics say. I'm curious where that thought comes from.
Lol...It'll get better. The FT % is misleading too!

I don't completely disagree. Analytically he actually comes out as a, very barely, positive defensive contribution. I don't think he is good. I just didn't have the expectation he would be. There are players we wanted, and needed, to contribute in a more meaningful way who are much more frustrating. Lieb only plays 12 minutes a game. It's not like he is out there for 25+ minutes ruining things.

I totally agree with you. I was just hoping at this point the coaching staff would stop playing Lieb because it is much better watching the team with him off the floor.

And the reason he can’t play more is 12 minutes a game is because he fouls, has zero stamina, or he has to get pulled because he is a liability. If this guy didn’t have the U of I in his resume, he wouldn’t be getting any minutes.

I don’t think the resume dictates the playing time, or Davis would have had a lot more minutes. I think they see something in practice that isn’t translating to the games, but it is time for him to sit. I’d rather play smaller and see some other guys like Pence get his minutes.

Probably the minutes that Chase Walker should be playing. 12 minutes a game for a freshman building for the future would look much better than a glorified walk-on big man we had to pull from the portal.

Currently 6-25 from deep too. Until they get guys that can knock them down at a higher clip consistently you’d hope coach wouldn’t be okay with this many 3s being put up.

I expected UK to cover, but this is getting out of hand.
For all you old-timers out there, this reminds me of that 50 point beatdown at Cincy many moons ago.
Not good.

Partly why I made my point. I don't know if it is typical coach-speak or he is consistently coaching guys to keep shooting threes. I hope it is the former. I fear it is the latter.

A big point loss AT Kentucky is not the end of the world. Except the 3 point shooting has to be better. At this point in the season if you are not hitting at least 35% you should not be shooting them. ISU needs to play 2 point ball if they cannot hit threes. I know the game has changed but if you cannot make them it is the same thing as a constant turnover. If ISU shooting percentage does not get better it is going to be another long season.
