Jags' James Robinson Gunning For Rookie Of The Year, 'Having A Pretty Good Year!'
Don't get too comfy, Justin Herbert, Justin Jefferson and CeeDee Lamb ...

Talk about him in running for defensive rookie of the year. Would be awesome if valley was represented by him and RobinsonValley related, Jeremy Chinn, from SIU, returned 2 fumbles on back to back plays for touchdowns. The only person in NFL history to do that. Way to rep the Valley.
If I may paraphrase for Coach Zimmer ... JR's sh-t doen't even stink. From the game preview in today's Minneapolis Star-Tribune (the Jags play the Vikes Sunday):

Ok, so JR get's a lot of praise on our forum and in this thread. So hate to be THAT guy, but I found something JR is bad at. The mic'd him up for the Browns game. He says almost nothing most of the video. Except when he was on sidelines and one of the coaches teased him about why they would have mic'd him .. about 1:40 mark, good exchange.
Then finally, towards end of 3 min video, he has an encounter with one of the defenders after the game, who asked him where he played when he was a kid .... that was worth a listen. Just a humble no-nonsense mature young man .. nothing fazes him.
Anyway, so aside from the 2 exchanges I mentioned, the best sound from James being mic'd up is the hits he puts on tacklers.
Another MVC player that has an outside chance for a pro bowl appearance would be Robert Tonyon from the Packers who played at Indiana St. Tied with league leading 8 TDs for TE with Kelce. 41 receptions in 47 targets. 497 receiving yards which besides Kelce and Waller is up there for TEsI think Robinson's pro-bowl spot is locked. I'd hope that ISU celebrates the hell out of this in some way. What a recruiting tool to have this kind of return from a guy who was a 4 year braded ISU player and a graduate. It is possible Robinson makes a bigger impact on ISU football after he graduated than before.
