Richie Furay is a preacher now.

Richie recently retired from the ministry. Didn’t get mad or leave in a huff. Just retired.

I don't know the situation everywhere, but are any other MVC schools recruiting anyone in their 2019 class? I was reading the Indy State message board and they are not. I know UNI and Mo State are full for next year.

We make it sounds like this is a normal thing to have this many scholarships open, but doesn't seem like anyone else in the MVC is in this situation. Illinois is in the same bind, but they also have been bad and struggled to recruit for a few years.

I thought we were the only team in the mvc with openings. So Reeves must be down to ISU and Buffalo.

Looks like SIU has 2 scholarships for 19. I went through Verbal Commits. Valpo has 1 scholarship left, SIU 2, ISU 3.

if Reeves does not land and I doubt he ends up in the MVC SIU also in the running for a solid juco (believe he was 2nd or 3rd team all juco this year) all American player that will given them a slasher and scorer at the guard level. He was a Chicago high school player that ISU recruited out of highschool. I wish ISU was in on him.

Reeves has a few high profiles universities playing the waiting game with him. It will be interesting to see if he ultimately lands some (or one) p5 offers.

Can we please delete this thread on account of the fact that every time I come to the board and see the title I think that it's Friday and have to remind myself that it is not. It's been a real source of disappointment for me all week...

Poco played here (Denver) 7 or 8 years ago. I saw Richie there, but he didn't go on stage.
