Like him or not, Coach Richardson was robbed, too. Tarise would have made a substantial difference in win/loss column over 2 years had he not gotten hurt and had he been granted the additional year. The dude put 38 on Purdue, for crying out loud.
Coach Keady said Tarise was the best guard he had coached against since Rolando Blackman.

Tarise would have used up his eligibility that year if he hadn't gotten hurt. He didn't have anymore, so that's why they petitioned for a waiver.

I should have been more pointed. No matter what year he played it would have impacted W/L substantially.

Randy Rice was our PG when I was in school. He was damn good. Very underrated. He was solid at both ends
I remember teams sagging completely off him because they didn't respect his shot. He did a pretty solid job taking care of the ball, and handled the position as a true point, but his shooting percentages kept him from being in that higher PG tier of guys at ISU.

As far as Tarise - totally jobbed by the NCAA.

I remember Randy Rice coming to close ISU’s first ever triple double against Evansville on the road in double ot. It may have been the points where he came up 1 short.

Still don’t think the Birds have one.
