Samuels from TCU had 16 points and 18 rebounds against Tulsa yesterday. I saw some of that game and he still looks slow on defenseRey Idowu playing for Tulsa on ESPN2 now, halftime, vs. S.Carolina. 6 pts no rebs. He had 8 pts and 5 reb last night in 24 minutes vs. TCU (Tulsa loss).
I've watched both play this year.Josh Jefferson is an important part of UW Green Bay's team is trying to do. They're 0-4 with losses to Minnesota, Wisconsin, Eastern Ill, and Marquette. JJ is averaging over 30 ppg, with 14.8 points, 34% from the floor, 30% from three, 62% from FT, 3.8 rebounds, nine total assists and 10 total turnovers. No doubt the kid can score, just needs a lot of shots to do it.
The other kid we have that is playing D1 that transferred out, Rey Idowu is a role player for 1-2 Tulsa. A win over UT-Arlington and a pair of losses to South Carolina and TCU. They've had their last two games postponed. In 23.5 minutes, Rey is averaging 7.7 points on 67% shooting (10/15), and 5.7 rebounds. 2 assists, 5 turnovers and 0 blocks. Seems like he's settled nicely into his role.
Josh numbers are not very efficient. I saw two of Rey's games (or at least a portion) ... he continues to struggle on the defensive end in my opinion.Josh Jefferson is an important part of UW Green Bay's team is trying to do. What is our system?Rey is benefiting from being in a system that fits him better.

What does that tell you?Rey Idowu nice line today in Tulsa win over ECU - 32 minutes, 16 points on 7-10 from field and 2-6 FT, 8 rebounds, 2 assist, 1 steal, 1 block and 1 turnover. Pretty nice production.
Same Kid, difference here that sticks out is "Coaching". Rey is being coached and he's most definitely benefiting, proof in his increased production. Happy for Rey!What does that tell you?
On the season he's averaging 22 min, 9.2 points, and 4.5 rebounds. Last year 16.7 min 4.4 points and 3.2 rebounds. So he's clearly better, which he should be as a JR. Looking back I wouldn't have played him over Fisher or Hillsman. But this year he's also got some clunkers. So I guess it tells me not to cherry-pick stats. What does that tell you?
