There were fifty f*cking fouls called in this game. FIFTY. Literally more than 1 foul per minute. These refs should be ashamed. It was not that sloppy, just plain ticky tack on at least 40% of those.

This must break some kind of record.

This. It was plain ridiculous. It reminded me of the season opener a year or two back.

Figured it was going to happen. The NCAA just sent it's rules video update out to coaches and officials 3 days ago. Every time one of those go out, the games get officiated like it's the first week of the season.

The end result of this will be the gradual disappearance of Sampay-like players. The game will be for the tall and/or quick.

Clarence giving us good minutes. Nice to see him stepping up.

I thought it was his best game so far.

Didn’t get to see the game, but his stat line was completely unimpressive. Curious as to why all the love (not trying to be sarcastic).

He brought energy when the team was down in the second half. He played within himself and got some deflections on the defensive end. It was a positive moving forward because the offense seems to stall at times when either MY or MH run the point. To me the offense seemed a little more fluid with EC running the point.

The same people glorifying Dan are the same ones that laughed at Loyola being added to the Valley. Guess what their program is doing ok.

Nearly 5 years into the conference and they are finally showing something.
Their first 4 years:
10th (4-14)
6th (8-10)
8th (7-11)
5th (8-10)

After this season they lose Ingram, Richardson and Aundre Jackson.

If they dance (big if) I would gladly take the other 4 years, over being perennial NIT challengers.

Exactly brought energy on offense and defense. His passing led to wide open 3s at least once where he did not get the assist. And gave their PG fits including one steal caused by pressing the PG.

Matt Hein for President.

I agree. Especially since the bar to be President keeps getting lower anyway. Why let the age requirement stand in the way? Hein just may be better qualified to be President than a D1 basketball player. Could be a huge win win for country and program. He’s got my vote. Firmly believe ISU will never win anything meaningful with Hein playing these type of minutes. Not that we’ve won anything meaningful in 20 years anyway. Not even hating on Hein. Just a commentary on the overall weakness of this roster.

You probably don't know this "ISU FAN 1" as you would have to attend games to know.To make you aware, there is a ribbon graphic that comes up at Redbird Arena when Hein does something good that says MATT HEIN FOR PRESIDENT. It came up a lot yesterday. I was merely playing on that to rile up you Hein haters here on the board. I can't take credit for this, but my daughter did generate a tweet where she said it several weeks ago, and she is taking credit for it :)

Could this help us vs siu? I know they were very shallow in roster. We have at least been able to play 10 players, including Keyshawn.

I doubt it. Refs will have done about 7 games since they got this. They will go back to calling the game with less fouls by Thursday.

I don’t go to games? Your attempt to troll? Lol

Don’t go to all home games like I used to. Would rather go to my kids games. But this forum has already called me out as a bad parent too. Can’t win I guess.

Never read anybody call you out as a bad dad, "ISU FAN 1". I am sure you are a terrific papa.

For the record, my two kids grew up going to ISU games since birth. I dunno if that makes me a good dad or not. Some would say there might be child abuse involved :)

There's so much more to a game than the counting stats . . . smh

If they've only seen ISU bball for the last 20 years might be bad....Kind of like raising your kids to be Cubs fans prior to 2016. Only kidding....
