I know we blew a lead but I thought we played pretty well for it being a road game. History says we can't play in the road. I can see how the emu team have Indiana fits. Chapman was a beast tonight. Not have Washington available was a big loss. That kid doesn't get tired and is made for these types of games.

Lost the game first 4 minutes of second half. Turned over two passes into first possession and then a couple more times. Nevertheless we got down but never quit playing hard. Obviously second half defense was not good. Still some bright spots too. Chatman played really well. Double double. Tone got worn out. 44 FTs against us didn’t help but you are on the road so not gonna get any breaks. I expected a loss frankly but we played better than I had thought. Turnovers were probably the deciding factor.

Tough loss. Chatman got us going, then kept us in it. 29 points, 13 boards, 4 blocks. Seems like he has fully committed to this team, which I think many of us were wondering if he would. Freeman did not have a good game on either end. Strong disappeared in the 2nd half. Reeves had 32 points, but was otherwise a non-entity. Only 1 board and 1 steal.

In total: 31 fouls and 22 turnovers. Giving up 15 more free throws and 15 more points off turnovers did us in.

I thought was missed Washington. We need more contribution from the bench in general ... especially on offense

I think our team just fell apart in the 2nd half on both sides of the ball. All the turnovers and missed shots killed us.

They had 28 pts off of turnovers, 32 made fts, and Scott had 26 in second half. The EMU announcers said Fleming’s block was all ball. So far our true bigs have not been playing much because they have been too slow against our opponents. Chatman played hard. Think he will be able to score on Valley Bigs. However, we will need to help him on D to stay out of foul trouble.

Losses stink but this seems like a loss the team can capitalize on to get better. Onward and upward.

Even with the loss I hope the team can hype themselves up with the positives and start strong against Murray State.

I only saw the last couple minutes of game and OTs. Two comments,
1. From the little I watched, they got to the line because they attacked the rim. We shot a lot of jumpers and floaters.
2. 6 assists on 33 FGs. Wow. That is almost unfathomable. Either their scorer was stingy, we scored on a LOT of offensive rebounds, or we played a lot of one on one and dribble drives.
