Listening to the game on the internet while watching some of the SIU-Loyola game. Its kind of weird seeing Tony Wills on the SIU sideline.

The guys played hard and kept the turnovers down. We just don’t have the talent or the coaching to be competitive.

Best game we have played since uni. Defense is what cost us tonight. Copeland shot the hell out of the ball. Fisher had a good game.

We DID play hard. But our young guards continued to be schooled by other teams taking them to the rack and scoring. I think Drake was 25/45 inside the three point line. Not all guards of course but still a ton of points in the paint. You knew the big guy would score. Still at this point I play the young guards as many
Minutes as they can get. Gotta learn sometime. Our best 5 had some combo with Fisher in the middle. He really had a nice game. All the critics on Copeland can be quiet for awhile. He was a warrior tonight.

I have been critical of Cope...I agree with you, he was a star tonight.

Over the years my visit to Des Moines the best part was getting to beat up on Drake. Now, it is the Cheesecake Factory. Thank God the bar is open.... very disappointed.

First time Copeland shot over 40% in the past 6 games. He was good tonight but a lot of it was still 1on1 ball against a team with pretty small guards and that is just average defensively overall.

He has to be the guy who gets Horne, Reeves, Boyd and him playing as a unit to get the best wide open shot. We are very far from that right now.

25 of 37 inside the arc yikes. Actually held them to 6-21 on 3’s. At first glance of box score couldn’t figure out how the heck they lost.

Versus our 12 for 33 inside arc ... double yikes.

Hey, I've seen us play worse.

It's obvious that Dan has embraced what V-Boy suggested a few games back - go small
and embrace the 3 pt. offense. What else can you do with this group??? When they share
and take care of the ball.......we are minimally competitive I guess.

How busy are Dan and his staff scouring the JC ranks for a capable big who can play with his
back to the basket??? Like it or not, I can just sense the roster churn again - of course at this stage
it's about survival for coaches.

Go Birds.

Last year we had talent. This year we have effort. We haven't had both for awhile now.

This group plays hard, but with no presence in the post, and getting panic'd on D and not protecting the ball...it's just ugly. More and more this team reminds me of Moser's '06 team.

Shoot the 3 well, we are in games, don't shoot well from distance we have no chance. We need some bigs to balance out the lineup.

Copeland. 11/23. 8/12 from 3. Four rebounds and SEVEN ASSISTS. Believe one turnover. Don’t know what more he could have done. I would take that line and 32 points against the school of the blind! Loss last night had nothing to do with his game.

I would actually suggest a big who can play defense and rebound. At this point I don't care if he is more than a guy who sets picks on offense, but we need someone who can defend the other team's big when they post up, and is a consistent rebounder.

That being said the last thing we need is more roster churn/less consistency. If we keep having 5+ new guys every year, this is the season we are going to keep getting in my opinion.

If we ever figure out how to play our offensive team at the same time as our defensive team, look out
