Redbirds keep it close. Not sure if we win but if we do it's the defense that keeps it close. We cannot get in a track meet with these guys

My son tells me that ISU sent out a student wide email tonight about the game - giving away jerseys to the first 700 - doors open at 5:45.

They have not sent out student wide email for any football game?????

Hard for me to see how we keep this game within 15 pts. Murphy, Muscynski, Adelsperger, Hollander, Benkert are all very good.

There is no question they will run and gun and they will surely try to punch us in the mouth.

They remember last year and they know Truman St was beating us entire game. They definitely smell blood. That Murphy kid abused our guards last year and we had absolutely no answer for Muszynski.

I definitely do not give our players a free
Pass. Most of them were on the team last year and saw us play Belmont.

Going to be rough. We could be down by 20+
Points in first half. We might make a run in 2nd but we do not have the horses to bear a team like this.

It is a really cool thing, I'm hoping fans buy into it. The days of clapping along to Thunderstruck seem to be behind us. (Not that there is anything wrong with that, just times have changed.)

Thunderstruck sucks. glad that's gone. That was the equivalent of coming out of the tunnel to Bill Haley Rock Around The Clock in 1985.

Can't be worse than last year. Milik only played 17 mins due to attitude. Their bigs ate us up because Milik had the attitude issues which left Phil and defense was not his calling card. Our walk-on Gassman had a team high in minutes at 27. Their guards had their way because Key and Jefferson couldn't play defense. Look at the box score from last year, I am shocked we kept it as close as we did.

Given how well ISU shot the 3 vs Belmont last year it definitely could be worse this year if it is another shoot out.
