Mid Tenn St up 9 early on Belmont

Middle tenn was supposed to be down this season now that davis left and a few players. Well, maybe they are and Belmont isn't that good with all their freshman. Doesn't say a lot about the birds if this is the case. Time will tell.

Scored 92 and won by 20, so maybe the team with 7 NCAA or NIT in 9 years is pretty good after all

Quit making excuses... Fire Muller. Fire Dietz. Knock down Doug's statue. Demolish Redbird Arena. We need to rebuild this program from the ground up!!!

Belmont beat UCLA by 2 today at UCLA. They are now 8 - 1. They play Western Kentucky and Purdue last two out of conference.

The valley went 0 - 6 today. This is the new measuring stick.

Good...so the team that absolutely creamed is is still winning. Maybe that gets us some CBI consideration.

Not sure that I would classify losing by 11 points, on the road @ the #11 RPI rated team, with arguably the MVC’s best player playing only 17 minutes, as getting “absolutely creamed”.

Belmont was basically playing a prevent D the second half as they had this game wrapped up at the 20 minute mark. Call it what you want.

the football equivalent is being up 24-0 at half time so you run the ball to run the clock out and dont play super aggressive on defense in the second half and use some 2nd string players and you end up winning the game 30-23.

Thanks for posting this follow up as I doubt anyone who posts on a D-1 College Basketball Forum would know the definition of "prevent D" nor how it applies to football.

Doing so was quite thoughtful. Perhaps I've been too hard on you.
