Reeves was no Illinois wolves alum so no Mullins family tie. Mamon was a big factor for SIU if that is where he is headed. Wish Mamon was at ISU. Deeply connected and highly respected in Chicago. Much like Anderson but much more polished.

As mentioned in another thread the longer the sound of silence the least likely he is to land at either ISU or SIU. Have heard, but not confirmed, Reeves is playing ball in the exposure tournaments trying to gain other scholarship offers during this ncaa live period. I am guessing that SIU or ISU may be his fall back option? However since it is so late in the 2019 high school recruiting process would hope that both universities game him a limited amount of time to accept their offer as one would hate to be waiting around holding a scholarship while players everywhere are making their commitments.

With Copeland and Hein back (IF they are scholarship players) it seems we are in desperate need of guards in the short term and long term as I view each of them as having minimal impact on ISU’s ability to win games. Horne seems like long term project given his size but will need to step up now if we can’t land some immediate impact guards. In that line of thinking I see Reeves needing solid year to mature too but has significant upside esp if he performs well early on and can add strength/weight.

If he played ball with the projected team for next year I hope he didn't dominate them! Hopefully he sees that he has a chance to play early here given our guard situation. Looks like somebody we need to sign. We got a nice business building here, so that should help.

Don't see him getting a lot of minutes with Copeland and Boyd playing the SG this season. But with Zach gone after this season he would most likely share the SG with Dedric in 2020.
