Humdimger a cubs fan? Always knew you took losing too well.

#thanksRico

You will always have 2016!!! 22 years without an NCAA Tournament is nothing for a fan that is ok being good once every 120 or so years.

You must be talking about someone else because you're certainly not talking about me in regards to those things you stated. #ThanksRico

Thinking about next year. Our 3-4-5's.

MVC Only Stats
Fisher - 10.6 ppg
Idowu - 2.6 ppg
Brunninga - 2.1 ppg
Chastain - 1.6 ppg
Ndiaye - .9 ppg

Unknown
Sissoko
Alston Andrews

Unless Sissoko or Andrews all-conference or we bring in a JUCO stud. I don't see how we will be much different next year, with only 1 productive player for 3 positions? We need 2 to 3 impact players at those positions to even have a chance.

We absolutely need to recruit another post player

And Drake with a lead only Dan Muller could blow. Going to beat UNI. 1 bid Valley.

I think Muller wants to go to a 5 guard offense for next year. Everyone will just lob threes and never go past the arc. Any Redbird player observed going for an offensive rebound will be pulled out immediately.

MVC Only Stats
Fisher - 10.6 ppgn
Idowu - 2.6 ppg
Brunninga - 2.1 ppg
Chastain - 1.6 ppg
Ndiaye - .9 ppg

Okay, but also shots per game:

Fisher - 7.9
Idowu - 3.4
Bruninga - 1.9
Chastain - 2.6
Ndiaye - 1.8

Idodwu led the team in FG % with 53%, Chastain 51%, Fisher 46%, Ndiaye 37%, Bruninga 25%.

Then you have:,
Copeland - 12 shots per game, 40% FG %, 144.5 ppg
Horne - 7.3 SPG, 45 FG %, 8.7 ppg
Hillsman - 5.8 spg, 45 FG%, 8.5ppg
Reeves - 6.5 spg, 38 FG%, 7.2 ppg
Boyd - 6.4 spg, 37 FG%, 6.1 ppg

So, just pointing out that you can't score w/o the ball in your hands, and it's pretty clear the bigs, other than Fisher, didn't hardly get their hands on the ball. Now, if I had my druthers, they could get some damn offensive rebounds and putbacks and get some points that way, but still, when you're playing with a team of chuckers, it's hard to criticize them for not shooting.

It's been touched on before on the board, but the seeming lack of improvement of some of our players over their careers, particularly the bigs, is another factor worth criticizing. Somebody's gotta work with them on footwork, inside moves, boxing out, blah blah blah. Both Idowu and Ndiaye have some physical "skills" - Rey's big and strong and relatively agile, and Abdou is quick and rangy.
