Would you be willing to take a demotion if you were with the university as long as Leanna? No, they won't demote her. The next AD has the option to maintain her at that level or not renew her contract.

i was hoping someone that knows her would say she is outstanding and in her new expanded role will get our coaches and staff expenses, that are for some reason millions higher than our conference peers, investigated and shrunk. alternatively it looks like our coaches and staff expenses are now growing even higher with her promotion

My guess is that Larry has some gas left in the tank and would enjoy the benefit from the “double dip” of collecting his IL state pension on top of a nice salary for (approx.) a year. I would imagine there are quite a few search firms that would want him for this type of role if an external candidate is needed.

Ex Pres Dietz's new job just got more challenging. The current/soon to be former SCSU pres has announced she's bailing out a couple months early just as serious budget cuts for next year have to be made and announced. Handing it off to Mr. Dietz a little early and his first act will likely be delivering bad news.

I've got a good friend who's on the SCSU faculty, so I'm biased, hearing much of the faculty side of things. But the person leaving has effed things up major league in her relatively short tenure. Good luck to Larry,

St. Cloud State President Robbyn Wacker leaving post early

Beginning Sunday, May 5, Larry Lee, SCSU’s vice president for finance and administration, will be acting SCSU president. Wacker was to remain president until June 30.
