I don’t care if UNI was going to double Reeves. He’s your best player having a great night. Strong was open but 2/13 on the night. There was plenty of time to get the ball to Reeves. Of course no call as usual on the last shot. Big surprise there. I guess that’s why we need a new coach.
There was no contact on the last shot.

Why? Reeves was used as decoy because they were denying ball. Strong got a very good look that he usually makes. Love that call. Reeves was too out of control on the last play. Carter made a nice and clean block.
Jo wasn't having a good shooting night.

Agree. Reeves needs to go get the ball, rise up, and take a shot. Can't go to basket and hope for a call. We need a new coach because 1998!

Damn it. Did not like that play out of the timeout. Didn't like the play to end though either. That was a winnable game.
Right play for the wrong player. Fleming should have been in Jo's spot and Lewis should have been in the corner versus on the bench. Plus Lewis was our best rebounder and we had no timeouts to put Lewis back in the game. Strong has been struggling mightily and we kept putting him back in for offense. He was missing wide open shots all game and at Indiana St.

In most last shot situations we've been giving the ball to Reeves and then he ends up passing at the last moment instead of shooting. Thought when he was posting up on the inbound we might run him out through a screen for a shot. Normally a very make able shot for JS though and he was wide open

Overall, pleased with the effort from the team. Guys like Fleming seemed to regain some aggressiveness out there. Have to wonder if some guys have a bit of a weight off their shoulders with Dan removed. Jones seemed really engaged and involved on the sidelines. Like to see it, unfortunately he can’t remove all the bad habits with one practice.
If they were limiting Fleming's minutes due to the hip fine otherwise he should have played more. They kept subbing him out. I know Freeman was hurt but Fleming could have taken some of Miller's minutes or for a struggling Strong. I am not sure why down the stretch they kept bringing Strong in for offense and Fleming for D.

Most any night you would take that shot by Strong but he was so off tonight. We are just so good at finding a way to lose, but you can’t fault the effort. Why do I think if Strong had made it and Green drove like Reeves he would have gotten a call
Muller absolutely torched Valley officials at the end of his final coaches show. Does that carry over to Jones and all future Redbirds, or stay with Muller?

He didn't think that through. The Carmichael comment was funny, but to go after current scenarios doesn't help him in the future or the current team. I think he was just trying to make an awkward situation less awkward.

I wonder if Mcchesney hadn’t already missed two wide open threes prior, he would have gotten the look. Not sure if Strong was the right guy to take the shot, but he was wide open.

Uni was doing everything they could to prevent reeves from getting the shot. Strong had a wide open shot. Seemed like he was a bit too excited and put too much on it.
And if Dan had called that same play, you'd have been up in arms. Please. Strong was way off all night.

The defense was bad again! We gave up too many easy buckets in the paint! Heck, I would rather have up the 30 ft three than the two foot shot-layup!

I don't understand having Strong shoot out of the timeout. He's struggled all game. Then Tone should have pulled up just past the free throw line rather than driving into a crowd near the bucket. If he was trying to draw a foul, he just needs to review the Drake game on whether he'll get calls at the end of games.
The play looked like it was designed as a pick and pop with Reeves. Putting the defense in an unusual situation. Both defenders went with Reeves, so Strong made the correct read and got a good shot. JUST MAKE IT!!
