On that topic of development, wasn't Abdou supposed to be really good too? He's ok, but I remember when he picked us over Wichita and everyone was stoked. Hasn't seemed to really deliver on the initial hype.
Do you guys remember when Dinma walked into Redbird Arena for the first time? He was a project for sure. When he left he was a finished product. I know every kid isn't going to be a Dinma. Shouldn't that be the expectation? I know times have changed and now you are lucky if you keep them for two years.

You don't think Strong, Tone, Chatman and now McChesney and Flemming Jr. games have developed? I know we are still waiting to see improvement from a a few other (Washington, Andrews, etc.) but it's not like the team isn't better now than the beginning of the season.
Is this team that much better than they were at the beginning of the season? I see a wildly inconsistent team that you can never predict what team we will see. Beat Missouri State and then lose to Jackson State at home. Play Wisconsin down to the wire and then lose to Valpo. Pound Evansville and then drop the next game at Evansville.

I would argue Reeves development from role player to Larry bird award candidate is due to the work in Florida with folks not associated to ISU. Didn’t seem to develop all that much in years 1 and 2, then blows up this year with an offensive arsenal we had not seen in years past. Something tells me Dan should be sending all his kids to these folks in FL.

Given that Muller has RARELY developed talent his ten years, I don’t think Strong, Tone, etc development is his doing.

Very frustrating team up and down I will not go into the coaching everything has been said many times I have been frustrated by many redbird teams i the past What I am really disappointed by is the transfer portal We are becoming just a training program for other schools. I dont now what the answer is but the constant turn over is my biggest complaint. Any player that does improve ends up leaving. Go YOU REDBIRDS

Ok- then we agree we lost and didn’t get the job done. Enough with the excuses! Because I’m sure the refs came into this game and targeted our team. Because we shit more free throws than they did. Lol
Enough with the gaslighting. You're putting words in others' mouths . . . that's classic gaslighting technique, and it's what you do. If we don't respond exactly as you want, we're saying everything's rosy and wonderful.

Back on ignore you go. Yes, Cali, it's pathetic. It's pathetic that you and others force some of us to do this.

Unfortunately that’s what’s happening all over the college b-ball landscape. Big schools can afford to pass over a kid, then wait until he blows up, once he blows up they reach out to him and BOOM, he’s gone. It sucks but it’s reality.

Not just pathetic. Kinda cowardly as well.

Nothing said here on this site is dangerous or libelous.
We have all have the same want…to get Redbird basketball back to relevance.
Who cares if someone beats a dead horse with the “Dan needs to go” mantra. It’s a frickin’ message board…for fans to express both frustration and joy.

back to the AD nice job on the IPF big thanks to the folks that put up the $$$ I see this helping everybody even the BB team I have faith that the AD will do what is needed at the end of the season My all time favorite coach Bob Donewald went 13-17 finished 5th in MVC his first losing record and got the short haircut. Donewald had 3 ncaa apearaces I hope we win out but I doubt that will happen. Then I think the AD will make the right choice

As you say, we can all agree that we have the same goals, but might have different preferences as to what we read and post. I just find it odd to apply labels, calling a man cowardly, for not wanting to listen to something he finds off putting in a leisure environment. I agree, it'd be different when it comes to things like civics or a chosen career, or personal matters. But someone being cowardly for tuning another person out on a basketball forum? Especially when the consensus between the 2 has already been established to be "you're not convincing me and I'm not convincing you"? Idk. I guess I just reserve that kind of labeling for more consequential matters. I assume nobody on here forces themselves to listen to a radio show from beginning to end as they drive, even if the program is infuriating them. They just change the channel. If the point is that people should allow themselves to feel that discomfort in order to either learn or work to spread their view, I agree with that notion, but as you said: its a college message board. Hardly the place a persons' character can be determined.

Having said that, couldn’t someone just put someone on ignore without having to post that they are putting that person on ignore.

Just got done watching Loyola beat the Salukis 44 -39(n). ISU can beat either one of these teams.

The final two seconds of a game should be called exactly the same as the first 39:58. The obvious B.S. fallacy of the philosophy that the refs shouldn't decide the game at the end with a whistle is that by not enforcing the rules and calling a foul or violation they DO decide the game, just in favor of the defense rather than the other way. By seallowing their whistles in the final 10 seconds of OT they made a conscious decision that allowed Drake to win the game.

The loss from the no-calls obviously hurts the Redbirds' chances of finishing in the middle tier of the conference , but imagine the affect that those swallowed whistles had on Loyola, UNI and Missouri State.

I hope that Freeman doesn't lose confidence in his scoring skills; agreed that 1-for-8 is bad and that he should not be our first option to shoot in the half court game, but he has shown that he can get in the lane and make "floaters" and he is a great FT shooter He can shoot well from 3, he just didn't last night, although he had one that went halfway down before somehow spinning back out.

One of the most improved players in a 4-year span that we've ever had. He was an absolute monster his final two years. Key part of a couple really good teams that should've danced. Those were fun times.
