Howard has now established a history of losing his cool. If Michigan doesn't strongly discipline or fire him over this incident, then they should be held at least partially responsible the next time he goes off on someone while serving as their head men's basketball coach.

Cripes sake, we used the time out as our chance to get out a little early and head for home. Could hear the booing as we were walking out, but didn't think too much of it. Only when listening to the post-game show did we know about the "hassle".

Another "irony", they retired Michael Finley's jersey at half time, and supposedly Howard and Finley were buddies from the Chicago days and later NBA teammates. Howard kinda went off on his buddy's day. I've always liked Howard, but he may have some anger issues, yes??

I saw Finley's Proviso East team blast Howard's Chicago Vocational team at a Christmas tournament in '90 or '91. Donnie Boyce and Sherell Ford were on Finley's team.

No way Michigan fires Howard over this. Most he gets from the University is a tap on the wrist. Big 10 might take some action; but it will be limited. IMO

The intent on Howard's "punch" was there but execution wasn't. Lame. Someone needs to show bball players/coaches how to throw a punch. That was embarrassing. He will be fined and suspended, but I don't see him being fired because he wins. Winning trumps everything.

Hey man, personally I hate missedagain, but it's hard to forget that they had a decent year last year and made it to the elite 8. I, pretty much, hate the lil ten in general. I know their overall record this year is meh, but don't be surprised if they sneak in. It would suck, but it is a possibility.

I'm mad at you now for making have to put together an argument in favor of them. I have to shower off now. Dammit!

Don’t forget he is an alum! If a 10 year contract is acceptable for Muller than Howard is deserving of 20. His fab five team was a great group.

Third incident in less than a year. Come on. Those actions are unacceptable - if he is not fired, then Michigan is only empowering more of the same behavior or an escalation the next time.
