In a battle of #1 Valpo @ #2 Loyola- Loyola is up 24 now. Maybe our loss at Loyola wasn't so bad.
We've played good stretches the last two games. now the challenge is putting the full 40 min together.

My son told me to take it easy as we were up 16. I told him nothing south of 30 is safe.

SIU is dum.

We need to stay out of the bu Thursday night invitational as no one can win on Sunday after starting on Thursday. The #2 seed would be nice as it could set us up for a Loyola showdown. The valley is way, way, way down so anything is possible. Sad how far this conference has slid.

COACHES CANT CALL TIMEOUTS DURING PLAY

My mistake. Did not know that rule change.

Could Copeland have called timeout?

I thought our noncon would really be an advantage for the conference schedule and that we would dominate teams in our own house. I was wrong..

What a pathetic display of basketball by both teams. Some of the dumbest players to grace Redbird Arena. Those are Junior High mistakes - just awful. Throwing bounce passes at the feet, dribbling into traffic, taking terrible shots, and so on.

We were up 45-29 - and Keyshawn decides to throw a wild ass, alley-oop to Tinsley that was not close. Then next possession takes a wild 3 off the dribble - SIU goes to score 18 in a row. Dumb plays and Dumb decisions change momentum and throw away leads.

Last play of the game was a fitting end to a terrible game by both teams - fitting. SIU wanted to lose worse than we did.

Though I agree there were some low BBIQ plays. Your point about the oop was way off. If we're thinking about the same play, Southern Illinois went zone and it was a drawn up play that was WIDE open. Boogie got both hands on on it but it was a little over thrown. It was a great play call but poor execution.

We will have to disagree on the alley-oop - Keyshawn threw a line-drive, hard and high - terrible, wild throw. That was the beginning of the momentum shift.
