I don't expect anyone to agree with me, but Ryan Schmitt is still my teacher's pet. I am convinced he would give us some offense because of big man skill and his eyes. I'm not saying he's a great player because he isn't...but the ball moves better with him on the floor. Not sure he could effectively pull off the big man flash& recover up top on D, though. If Brandon doesn't show us something sooner rather than later, I'd be all for Schmitt getting 5-10 minutes a game. I see such potential in the impact Brandon can give us, though, on both sides of the ball! However, I'm beginning to wonder if it's not gonna happen. I'd like to see the impact one solid game on both sides of the ball, as a big man, would do for his confidence moving forward.
I'm definitely more comfortable with Schmitt's ability to catch passes on offense. Lieb is a better rebounder and more effective on defense.

I too starting to believe Lieb not going to make the turn. The big upside for this team is if a Lieb or Schmitt steps up and contributes in a big way. Otherwise we have seen what we have and the 8-4 record is masking reality a bit as our schedule has been soft. Rubber about to hit the road. Team has nice grit and good heart but overall level of talent is going to leave us struggling for the Ws. Will need many players to be playing consistently at their highest level post Xmas in order for this team to have meaningful success. That is a lot to ask for on a consistent basis.

This win was needed big time in order to keep the team's (and fan's) mojo.

My eyes tell me we're WAY better pushing it. (I might be legally blind though) Now I'm not talking 100 miles an hour. I'm talking rebounder and outlet man are looking UPCOURT. There's a half second or one second look that makes ALL the difference. We don't take advantage of it very often at all.

Like I had earlier in the season, Lieb is a reincarnation of Andy Strandmark and Ronnie Carl. Do not expect a big contribution.

All bets are off on this one. Between the on-going "Return to Horton II" storyline and coming of a week of finals, hard to tell with any certainty what we may see on the court.

All things being equal, I would like our chances. But this is not a "Normal" week.

5 Points (15/40 minutes)
4 Rebounds (12/40 minutes)
3 Blocks (9/40 minutes)
1 Assist (3/40)

Not bad for 13 minutes. Some of those shots he is missing down low are going to start dropping. I’ll take that from a backup center.

Ask the PA guy. Sad. His voice is a jumble of mumble in the upper bowl, but it this case he didn't think it necessary to mention I guess. Not impressed

Burford fixed his shot. Mal seems to be coming around too. They were a combined 0-8 in the first half but were 11-20 overall 🤘

Davis was a pleasant surprise today

Rough game for Johnny

Foster was solid. And thanks to the Bizon screamers for helping him improve his FT average.

We won by 10. We're still in 1st place in conference. A ref almost got Burkholtz'd A good day
Wasn’t that the same game (Chicago State) Bender got his nose busted?

Since we are now in Tennessee first chance to see them live. Ugly at times but Burford was unbelievable in the 2nd half, Foster is usually solid. We figured finally how to stop the dribble penetration. If we can start shooting just a little from the outside could easily win 10-12 in the conference. Not great but beats the heck out of the last 3-4 years

So you're saying Ryan's got a little Tom Boerwinkle in him?
