Big W for Loyola

We win @SIU then we're mostly likely the #6 but could still get the #5

We lose then we have to have UNI lose @Indy State to get the #6

So let's just win

Dan was right a 3 way with us SIU and UNI would give us 6 seed. But SIU had to lose tonight if they beat us they are 10-8. Only way is to beat Southern. Maybe fate owes us one after the 2 losses we had this year.

Loyola got lucky. Krautwig 3 turnovers and 2 missed FTs in last three minutes. Loyola missed 3 FTs at crunch time. Then turned it over but escaped with a win.

Someone put up the scenario for this last game cause I have no clue!

no tie-breaker scenario, short of a two-way tie with UNI AND we were to pass them in NET ranking, would allow us to lose to SIU

three way tie head-to-head
BU 3-1
UNI 2-2
ISU 1-3

two way tie head-to-head
UNI 1-1
ISU 1-1
Panthers hold NET

Good win - good crowd involvement. Rey helped a bunch in the first half - Evans and Copeland are giving us nothing in terms of offense - cannot win at SIU or in STL with those type of lackluster performances.

Thank Goodness Hein did not play in the second half - just a supreme offensive liability.

My favorite start was only 8 threes attempted. We just took it right to them. Huge shout out to Rey. He got us going there in the first half after they went on that 7-0 run. Phil and Milik were like men possessed tonight. Time to beat those Dawgs in Saturday. Of course if valpo could win tonight that would help.

And some here said Rey should get minutes just because.

Not a lot of offensive output from our guards. We need so much help there. A ball handling, penetrating point guard and a 40% three point shooting guard.

Somewhat surprised teams do not focus in more on just Phil and Milik then roll the dice on "the rest" (Keyshawn, William, Matt H, Zach, Josh, Isaac, Matt C, Rey). It is not like they have been consistent weapons on offense. Some of them seem reluctant to shoot, while others are ice cold.

Good win. Took some punches but stayed on top a majority of the way. Milik with a massive game.

So, I'm ready to be crucified for this, but this win locks Dan Muller's 7th straight season of at least a .500 record.

Okay, you may now attack me.

ESPN says there is an 81% chance we lose on Saturday. And if we lose then we are the 7 seed (regardless of what UNI and Bradley do).

I forgive the guys for winning this game.

That's big of you. I'm gonna go out on a limb and agree with you. Isn't that bigamy?

Of course the buzzer beaters hurt but the losses at home to Valpo and Bradley REALLY HURT.

Amazing that 2 halfcourt bank shot prayers can take ISU from playing for a conference title Saturday, to the cusp of a play in game scenario. As you point out, ISU has really put itself in this scenario with other bad performances, but I’ll give this team some slack, given the just downright shitty luck that had come their way.
