I cant wait to watch a ton of these guys not play in an ISU uniform next season. Effing embarrassing

I said it the entire season. We have one of the worst sets of guards and wings for our level that we’ve seen in ages at Illinois State. We are limited athletically. We aren’t strong. We are poorly coached. We have no players with the skill set to do multiple things at once. Any type of strength, athleticism, or ball pressure completely rattles us. We didn’t have an All-MVC player. We ended our year against Evansville trailing for 40:00. The roster needs an overhaul and we need talent, size, athleticism, and most of all… skill. We have to enter next season with better basketball players or it’s just going to be more of the same. Painful.

This is what I alluded to earlier....... the success of our season was marginal. Four more wins than last year and an early out in the Valley tournament.

Why didn’t we call time outs in first half. You know, maybe draw something up? How many years does Pedon have on his contract? Horrible bench coach. Brutal. Absolutely brutal.

There goes our CBI bid.

At least Muller had 6 or so years of solid teams before his slide. How is this only year 2? Has seemed like a lifetime.

The little mini run they went on was nice I suppose, but the finale Valpo game and 1 and done in STL makes it a wash.

Clearly the Indy State win was more of the Sycs overlooking us and not us taking the next step.
So f’ing maddening.

Below .500 in the MVC. 2-8 against Quad 1&2. 1-4 against Evansville and Valpo. Bottom of the country in three point shooting. Inexplicably used Walker’s redshirt. Pence a non-factor. Banks was bad. When do we talk about Poindexter, Kasubke, and Lewis regressing in such a way it isn’t a coincidence? A season-long win streak of three games. Anyone calling this season a success doesn’t truly understand what this program should be.

In this day and age it is an absolute mistake for a midmajor to redshirt a frosh scholarship player. If a player does develop after redshirting there is probably less than a 10 percent chance a player is here for 5 years. So that is wasted effort and resources.
