It's on ESPN+ but only in the MVC states. So if you live outside of the midwest, too bad.
2023
Postseason coverage from the State Farm MVC Men’s Basketball Tournament -- known uniquely as Arch Madness -- in St. Louis includes four opening-round games and four quarterfinal contests. Those telecasts are distributed on linear platforms Bally Sports Indiana-Kansas City-Midwest-South-Southeast and NBC Sports Chicago plus digitally on ESPN+ outside the Bally Sports 13-state coverage footprint.

I think it may be more of an additional inclusion on ESPN+. Time (specifically Thursday at 12:00 PM CST) will prove if this is accurate.

As a side-note, the Valley finally has dropped Kansas and Nebraska from its protected footprint ... years after the departures of Creighton and Wichita State.

What if i live in central IL...but i will be on vacation? Does it go by IP or address?
I believe address as you can not have your privacy selection enabled when you use ESPN plus … ie your location has to be known to them. That has been that way this season (at least) as early in the season I tried to watch an Isu bball game and I received a message that ESPN plus, due to licensing requirements, requires a users location to validate there are no restrictions (something to that effect).

Yeah streaming is always going to use your geo location to decide if you can watch if you are on a device (like a phone or tablet) that has geo services built in.

I would never tell you that you could try a VPN on a laptop and see if that works though. Nope, I'd never do that and you should not do that. Nope.

Here’s a headscratcher: I live in Illinois, was in Phoenix in February with my Illinois-ROKU and watched both Men and Women bball from my hotel in Happy Valley?!?! Regular season rules differ from the tournament?

They must because I live in San Diego and have watched every game I attempted to this year on ESPN+.

Jim Carr : You don't do that?
Denis Lemieux : Oh no, never, never.
Jim Carr : Why not?
Denis Lemieux : Against the rules. You know, you're stupid when you do that. Just some English pig with no brains, you know.

I am not sure if this helps. My ESPN+ app is showing the ISU/EU game at 7PM EST on Thursday night. It should be on.
Spread it Slade!

I have been told by people with knowledge on the tv rights that MVC Tournament games had previously been blacked out, inside the MVC "footprint" but starting with this tournament, there are no more blackout rules on ESPN+.

The first two rounds should be avialable to every one, just like the regular season. Semi's and Final will only be on CBS Sports Network for semis and CBS over the air for title game.

Probably. Get yer IP Mask ready. FYI I’ve been in a non MVC State (in more ways than one) most of the winter and espn+ has been fine. Maybe cracking down for Bally restrictions for the tournament tho 🤷‍♂️

Evansville fan on MVCFans said he hasn't fully recovered from rhe foot injury that forced him to miss a bunch of games. Guess we shall see how effective he is Thursday night.
If they are without him that will be a big blow. Would like to see us jump out to a big lead and then expand our rotation. If we win Thursday then it will be a sorry rotation Friday.

A blowout win is unlikely but would be great. I want Pedon to ride the guys that can get us a win on Thursday and then worry about Friday when/if it comes.

NOW we get a team in Evansville that finished the season with SEVEN Consecutive losses.

I know Evansville is tough with Humrichous in the lineup, but we NEED to win a Thursday game and take another step forward this season!

Burford coming back, even for a burst or two should help with energy and depth.

The Roku device is regulated based on the zip code that's in the settings. I found this out because I get Arizona locals and was perplexed as to why. Did some digging and found out that for some reason unbeknownst to me it is showing an Arizona zip code in the settings. I've tried changing it, but I still get the Arizona local channels, including all Arizona Cardinal football games that they show on their local Phoenix channel regardless of national coverage. Truly a bizarre situation. All that said, I've never been blacked out on being able to watch Illinois or Illinois St. games though so I haven't pressed any further to try to change it.

I don't know how Roku works, but YouTube TV uses your phone to se the location for the service, even on an AppleTV

I'll chime in on the "TV/ESPN+" issue - I've always gotten the plus thru Roku in Madison. Never a problem. At our cabin in Minnesota, we've got DirecTV and have the regional sports channels package, and have always received NBCsports Chicago and Marquee. For whatever its worth to you who understand all of the ins and outs.

As for EU, for God's sake, if Humichrous plays, someone, Lewis, Kasubke, Pence, please stay on him. Don't leave him. As Norman Dale says "think of him as bubble gum, by the end of the game I want to know what flavor it is."
