Rubley overthrows ... strong arm combined with too much adrenaline maybe ??

When Spack was discussing the game on air he said "that's what a four star quarterback looks like". Rubley certainly looks the part. He's mobile and sees the field. Rittenhouse also sees the field well and I think he'd thrive in a RPO-based offense, kinda like what Bethard I set up for Roberson. Whatever QB is taking the snaps, it also looks like we have a few different RBs that can hurt you. Hard not to like the setup going into '24.

If Rittenhouse can develop his arm strength a little more, I think he will give Rubley a run for his money. I heard Winkler kept things competitive with Roberson in August camp, but he could NOT move like Rittenhouse .. much less like Roberson. Winkler could throw it ... I always likened him to Rex Grossman ... very good passer, weak in the pocket due to lack of size and mobility ... Rittenhouse lacks size, but is true dual threat and looks very comfortable dealing with pocket pressure so far. Spack likened Winkler to Drew Brees, but was wrong ... Rittenhouse looks much more like Brees .. so far.

Fourth is happy camper with our QB situation the last 2 seasons (23 and 24) ... Rittenhouse wasn't quite ready in 2022.

It sure is a good problem to have.

I think the conclusion to draw from this year's portal is that players want to win. And they want to have a legitimate shot at the next level. If they think they have that here, then we can retain them.
