Considering the restaurants in BloNo . . . it explains much about the quality of restaurants in BloNo.
I thought that was off too, but I have a feeling he didn't listen to the whole question where Matty said "local." Also, the closest Chilli's to his home town is 15 minutes away.....where as its about 5 minutes away from campus. So maybe that is how he took "local." :lol:
There is some great food here outside of the places on campus. Here is a townie suggestions for any of you who are looking the next time you're in town for the Birds.
The Spotted Dog - small local bar. GREAT Food. 1/2 priced apps on Saturdays.
Dr. McKays - Former chef at Mugsys created his own restaurant. Bar food. Best bone-in wings in town.
Annie's Eats Carry Out- Not a sit down place but get the food to go. Its one of (if not the only) local BBQ joint in town. I've had almost everything on the menu and it is GREAT!
If we have a game at like 2 p.m. or something, Ft. Jesse Cafe is a must. Great breakfast/brunch food.
Flingers is my favorite local pizza joint. (Sorry Tobins).
Baxter's - Fancier place if your staying in town for the night after a late afternoon game. Steak nachos are top notch.
BraiZe - Sandwiches like you've never had. They have "Brazitos" which is a loaf of bread with the middle taken out and stuffed with whatever. The Buffalo chicken, and Italian Beef is gooood.
Chings - Its on campus next to the Alumni Center. The place doesn't look nice at all but get passed that and you won't be disappointed.
There is a whole world outside of campus. Now, I'm hungry.

My first run through had several choice words in there describing Marshall.
I'm not sure there is an expletive that Marshall hasn't used when talking to his coaches and/or players. He also tried to accuse the fans of throwing batteries and loose change at him, his family, staff, and players at the Jackie kick game.

Shox put up 41 in a loss. Yuck! Read their board for entertainment. Complaints about coaching, basketball IQ, recruiting, lack of D1 talent. I guess every message board reads the same after a loss.

The same halftime total Bradley had at home against Drake last week.
marshall & his wife got into a pissing match with a fan who allegedly criticized marshall's substitution pattern against Tulane tonight. For 15 or 20 minutes of the 2nd half marshall was in a staredown & motioned for the guy to come down to the bench. Whether he wanted to fight the guy or have him coach the team is unknown. Eventually the fan & 2 other guys left.

Considering how Marshall and his wife have acted at past games, I would bet on Marshall immediately turning to their game staff and police to remove the fan after Marshall invites the fan down. Marshall reminds me of Roddy McDowell’s Bookworm villain in the 60s Batman TV series.
If he has another season or two like this one and the Shox attendance and donations plummet, will enough money be coming in to pay his huge salary and their other expenses. WSU better hope the checks to pay the balance of the expenses during his contract have already cleared.
