I was watching the game when it happened. It was a non-contact injury, which always seems to end up being bad. Sorry to hear as he was fun to watch. Sorry for Drake also, as now things get even tougher on them. Maybe Hemphill can come back for them.

I was watching the game when it happened and like @gobirds85 indicated there was no contact. It didn't look good. Big blow for them especially with Hemphill already out for a few more weeks. I have to agree with @Metamoron that this could be used against them if they are still in contention for an at large bid after the MVC tourney. After Sunday's games, Drake is 33 and Loyola is 11 in Net rankings. Drake is squarely on the bubble and I am not sure they can afford a regular season loss and loss in MVC tourney even if its to Loyola.

DeVries has gone on public record multiple times — as recently as last week — that everyone is returning. The odds “someone close to Drake athletics” knows but DeVries himself has no idea are virtually nil.
