Being from South Carolina, this is a game in Nashville against Belmont that Charles likely would have attended if he were still with us.

Help me out, Cookie. Give me the story on this guy, for those of us who haven't been around here for a decade. What's his connection to ISU?

Kind of hard to explain 'ol Chucky Green. He was more of an event than a person, better to be experienced than described. He did share a lot in common with Dr. Tom Davis though...

He was a big fan of Valley hoops and attended Arch Madness a few times. He followed Doug Collins NBA career and as a result became somewhat of a Bird fan. Just a huge hoops fan basically.

I saw him there in 2008 in St. Louis. Ironically the year the toilets kept backing up in our section and the "water" flowed down the stairs into the seats.

he was a seemingly nice man. Loved basketball.

Charles would love a chance to BAF some of our fans.

I wish he were still here.

Charles Green Jr is rolling over in his grave.

This program deserves him to come back to life just to BAF right in their faces.

Mr. Green would have been very pleased with the effort of the Birds last night. Effort and determination like that is why Charles Green Jr. loved basketball so much.

May he forever BAF in peace.

This is the first I've caught wind of this. Tell me more

Charles made his presence known in a way that will never be forgotten. He was a great fan. He also used fans to fan his aroma to many.

Some were offended by him but he was a good hearted man. He made others laugh. He made himself laugh.

He enjoyed Valley hoops.

PS it’s not a coincidence that his first appearance at Arch Madness coincided with the toilets backing up for three days. 2008

bump

We could use some of Mr. Green's power tonight. I hope we get it.

Perhaps Key will supply the gas to make the building go off tonight?

Tomorrow is a big game. Charles would be excited to attend the ice rink as long as he was surrounded by BU fans and of course after he was at an all-you-can-eat Mexican buffet from 11am-5pm to "gas up".

Charles would have loved to send some aroma into the faces of the BU faithful especially Tornado and Da Coach.
