I saw one of the players with a very medically wrapped left arm. The elbow looked pretty swollen and a out of place, and the player was favoring it significantly. There could have been a number of things under the medical wrap to give it a swollen appearance: additional gauze, ice, etc. His status at the time was unclear.

Could this be why Gassman did not play Thursday?

That crossed my mind however he looked fine in warm-ups

Wishing someone gets hurt is different than being relieved it’s someone that’s least impactful. I’ll bet some of these high morality posters have been fine with players on the opposition getting injured.

You don’t like seeing guys injured but this certainly presents opportunity for David, Will, Taylor to step up. Those 3 guys had 36 pts against SIU. Need to keep stepping up.

I know nothing! But Hein dove for a ball on the floor late in the game and came up holding his elbow.

I remember injuring my right elbow on a slippery walk from Wright Hall to class. Had to learn how to drink from a red Solo cup from my left hand for the next few months. Brutal.

I remember falling down the stairs to The Cellar and broke both my arms. I had to wear the beer helmet with straws the rest of the semester. It was kind of embarrassing in class, but after 9 years, it was just time to graduate so you did what you had to do.

Does anybody really know the extent of Faynes injury? The more I think about it the more I realize just how much he contributed to this team. He is a major spoke in the wheel of this team. I just hope God hears my prayers for this star to return to help salvage this season

Only update from @Redbird_MBB is that Phil Fayne has a sprained left ankle. Really don't expect him to play Sunday at Valparaiso. It didn't look good Thursday. #mvc
